i attached a NEW GUIDE file containing everything about how to install and unlock maps. because some people still dont know how. (for this mapid use the one i said before.dont search for it)

"mapsouce could not find any installed map products.
please install one or more mapsource map products and start mapsource again"

I already download the latest mapsource and the old one which have to run main.msi first but the same alert always show when i want to open the mapsource, some people said i have to have mapsource mapset to run the software, where i can find the mapset for mapsource ?

could you help me about this problem ?

For those of you who have MapSource 6.14.1 installed and experience problems with non official Garmin maps: There is a temporary fix.

download the MapSource Maps Compatibility_v0.2_Beta.rar application.

Extract this file on your computer using WinRar and run the application. The application will indicate maps that would cause problems in MapSource 6.14.1 are indicated and fixed with one button click.

This solution is needed for MapSource 6.14.1 until Garmin map installers of the various suppliers are fixed.

Latest Chinese Map is 8.62
If u wanna have the new routing but search on the mobile for POI's in Taiwan do the same like me.
Install the Image file Taiwan 8.62 as gmapsupp.img
Install the Image file Taiwan 8.51 as gmapsup2.img
Deactivate the 8.51 in your mobile
Now still have the routing of 8.62 with new streets but can search for POI's.
Unfortunately the Taiwan 8.51 has a bug, u can only search by using the one letter.
For example: MTR won't find anything.
But if type "M" only all MTR are listed.
Scroll and select the right one

I decide to visit to taiwan this november ... but i m having a GPS phone which is not symbian which is HTC Touch Diamond ..

My current Garmin XT mobile Version run on my TouchDiamond is 5.00.20 .
As the above u given the link of rapidshare [Only registered and activated users can see links] is it support for my phone ??
Does I still ned to unlock before i can use the map becoz u quote price up there it is so messy .

Can any kind help me =( a billion ty 2 u guys . If i were wrong download on the above files for taiwan map do provided me direct link to download the file instead of giving me the link to read through whole page bcoz i lazy lols.. ty u

THe same maps will work on either Symbian or Windows Mobile. that it the GMAPSUPP.IMG or GMAPSUP2.IMG or GMAPPROM.IMG will all work on either. For China maps to work without the offset problem then you have to install the APN version of Garmin Mobile XT

sorry...but I don't really know how exactly to use garmin mobile xt. spent almost 4 hours at work to figure out. the problem i am having is that i have 3 map sets (2 map sources)in my touch diamond. but whenever view map, it shown me the base map. how do i switch to one of the two map sources?

Map sources are for the PC mapsource. Image files are for the device. And you have to unlock them. Probably you have to read more before using Garmin.
