Great program, but I have one question. Does anybody else experiance that since you installed the program the battery drains much faster? When I check with MemMaid, PhonEx.exe has 3,5-10% CPU usage even when it's closed and just running as process.

Typical because I really love the design and function of this programme.
I will continue testing tomorrow and see of it continue effecting the battery performance.

I think I solved the problem. I uninstalled S2U2 and then the Cpu usage dissapeared and the device runs much smoother. :D

how did you install it? i have the same ppc. i dont even see the cab file. theres a xml file but when i try to install it, it just opens up internet explorer and show a long line of code..can someone help? looks like a great release, just wish i can use it..

ok..i've been have the above mentioned problem for a long time..so if your like me, and noob to all this ppc stuff, i have a sulotion to that xml problem..

first let me explain what an xml file is for those people like me who didn't know.

XML file is an input to another program and that would read the content and install whatever needs to be. it's related to html as internet pages it's not a bin file which one can install...ok..so..

PROBLEM = When you open the compressed file you see the content, some files and the important SETUP.XML Like years of Windows use has taught us, the SETUP file is the only one we need. It's like magic, we click and the preprogrammed file will do the rest. BUT all you get is TEXT. Thats crap.

CAUSE = You have WinRAR installed on your desktop PC, Don't you??
See WinRAR is telling your desktop computer that your .CAB file is a compressed .RAR file. It is but we will not get in to that. Confusion sucks.

FIX = You don't have to do step 1. but I recommend you do.
1. (on your desktop computer) go to START and to ALL PROGRAMS and open WinRAR. That was easy. Now click on OPTIONS and go down to click on SETTINGS (or just hit (CTRL + S) Click on tab INTEGRATION. On the left UNCHECK the BOX marked CAB. Say my name over and over while dancing on one foot.
2. Take the file you are installing (STILL COMPRESSED) and put it on your device. Use your FILE EXPLORER in your device to EXECUTE the still compressed .CAB (note: if you did not do step 1 the file will LOOK like a .RAR on your PC but a .CAB on your Phone/Device.)

SHORT ANSWER = do NOT uncompress the file on your Desktop PC. Just take the file just as it was when you downloaded it and put it on your Phone/Device. Use your Phone/Device file explorer to locate the file and execute it.

Hi are all of you still able to change the background image for incoming call? i dont even have that option. Previously in v1.1 i have them.

How do I change the background and image for an Incoming Call?
Open Phonepad->Submenu->Options and in the PhonEx section make sure that the item Use wallpaper for PhonEx Dialer is turned on. Below in this item you can assign an image which will be used as background.

The /Iconsoft/PhonEx/Media folder contains a library of images that you can use as the call background.

working fine on my X1. the app gets registered and is still registered after next soft reset.

can this version works with video call?

Sorry to tell, but this app and Inesoft Phone that "Cracked by rUnLiu" are not cracked properly. It has many issues, and after the real trial period it starts behave in very strange ways manetioned above

Hi guys, I have the same experience as several commenters. On my HTC P3300 this little app. really drains power very quickly and also consumes way too much memory.
So, lagge, thanks for your info on the 1.3 version. Guess we'l just all have to wait on the 1.3 version (and on rUnLiu crack of course!! :hehe: which btw worked fine on my machine) :wave:

Yes it works perfectly fine on the Omnia.
Register with any email and any serial number and it's set.
Works right away and after however many soft-resets. If it doesn't start after a soft-reset just locate it in the programs folder and double click it and it will work fine.

For Omnia resolution themes go to Iconsoft website and download it for free.

Well, S2U2 of course has got some features that none of the 'contacts programs' have (slide 2 unlock). What I like about PhonEx is that it has both a 'dialing' screen and an 'in-call' screen. You'll never see any built-in Windows Mobile stuff. (see [Only registered and activated users can see links]).

This is the best program for HTC HD. I try all other but this is the best. Thanks

Unfortunately the 1.3 version doesn't seem to have a free trial period, so we'll just have to wait for rUnLiu again. :good2:

But after i installed this program i need to let go my "slide to answer" function from S2U2. if not it will crashed my phone via 2 app running at the same time. I really like the slide to answer, im hoping that Iconsoft will do something about it. Or else anyone know how to configure the setting so then i can use PhonEx incoming full screen with S2U2 sliding option to answer the call??

Every contact picture has the Trial Word on it but i can;t find any register button!! :confused:

When you are on the phonepad screen hit the phonepad button again the register button will appear.

Anybody got a clue about the v 1.3 RC2 ? It can take some time until it comes out of beta...so until runliu cracks it again ;) I really would appreciate someone could take a look at it. Its too expensive for a dialer...
