LOL, I wish TomTom would put as much effort and thought into their actual product. You know, so people would feel comfortable to BUY it. Oh, and actually offering it for sale might help, too.

I remember someone posting how to hack the .exe file with a HEX editor so it would work with the Keygen and also on QVGA devices. I am quite happy to have a go and test if someone can post what needs editing?

To use on every PDA the new navigator 7.915 from the file collected at
http://www.mediafire.com/?lwmnghl10zm
1/ Extract file ttn.cab and unzip it using winzip.
2/ rename "TOMTOM~1.001" to "TomTom Navigator.exe" and
"0000data.002" to "data.chk"
3/ using unsigner.exe (into my attachment unsigner.zip), in a dos prompt, execute "unsigner TomTom Navigator.exe"
"TomTom Navigator.exe" should be 5.718.528 bytes now .
4/ then Using hex editor :
. go to offset 0x2EAB50h
. verify you have : 0430 95E5
. replace with : 1030 AEE3 (for VGA black version)
or
. replace with : 0D30 AEE3 (for QVGA blue version)
or
. replace with : 1230 AEE3 (for QVGA black version)
Then save it , and replace these 2 files in your PDA :
1. TomTom Navigator.exe
2. Data.chk (take the one you just renamed, length 7.719.931 bytes)
Tested VGA version on HTC touch HD, it starts well, but ......
Unfortunately, a new problem appears now. It seems tomtom have implemented a new map activation process, and the navcore 7.915 (now starting) ask you your new activation code for each map in your pda.
It says activation is done through wireless connection.
We'll now need a new key generator ...
