on my N82 v30 hacked phone, i installed Lt then RC2 GUI, then selected font file from the application, then i switched off my phone and my phone doesn't started... it was only displaying two lines of text...
phone startup failed
contact your retailer
well those two lines were in the same font that i had installed using font router... lol...
then i started google to find out the reason n solution for this problem... but dint find any... then i just hard reset my phone using call + * + 3...
thank god everything is okey now and also i'm having the whole backup of my mobile... but i'll now have to waste my time in installing all those things including the phone hack again :(
Now can anyone tell me what was the problem actually!! can i ever install new fonts on my mobile?

Yes, I had the same problem. but it`s because of Font router.
If you want to change ur font, install fontRouter. Then copy ur font and ini file to "Data\fonts" using Nokia PC Suite.
and DO NOT use file manager such as xplore.
It really works!

I know what you mean. Happened to me (2 times!) when trying the manual way with fontrouter.
I'd really like to change my fonts and this program looks great, but... I'm just too scared to try it again. I really don't want to hard reset my phone again :( :(

Hi "Symbian OS"! what exactly i did... first i installed LT and GUI on memory card... then i simply downloaded a font file from a fonts website... then copied that font file (*.TTF) to E:/Data/Fonts/ then i started the application font router n in options i selected the same location of *.TTF file. nothing happened at that time as i need to restart my phone... i exit the application and restarted the phone... but then i got phone startup failed error!
can u plz tell me which ini file u r talking about and also the exact location where the *.TTF file should be placed... n how can i put the *.TTF from PC suite on that location?

Friends, you really dont need to scare as it's pretty easy to use..
I would suggest you to use ttf fonts.. now copy that font to E:\Data\Fonts or F:\Data\Fonts drive.. install both Fontrouterman and Font router LT software to your Mass memory.. run the Fontrouter GUI and select open font.. select the font you copied to your phone.. restart your phone, you really dont need to mess up manually with fontrouter.ini fine now.. everything will work easily.. tc

I hear you :-) and, yes, it looks like it's easy to use. But, like I said, already messed up 2 times (even when the procedure I used should have worked without probs) , so... still not sure if I'm going to try it out or not.

Hi.
I've installed this on my N85...and everything seems to be fine - including the GUI :)
Just wondering though, is there anyway to remove the " character as shown below?? Or maybe change it to a full-stop or something. I'm sure it's because the text is too large or too long.
The font is set to 100% zoom - I've change to 90% and this fixes some of those " issues, however then is kinda small.
Thanks in advanced :)

Best fonts in my opinion, Rastapopoulos.
Just copy the contents of the zip on your memcard:\resource\fonts
Check the GUI, web, everything displays perfectly (fontrouter installed is a must).

Hi,
I have install both application and fonts in memory card, and after checking some fonts i got the error "phone startup failed contact your retailer".
If anyone got this error no need to hard reset your phone, just remove your memory card and restart your phone, phone will start with defalt font and when phone start put memory card, and when font router application appear run it and change your last working font or try to change Zoom 90%.
therefore i recommend you to install it on memory card because of bychance any error you can atleast start your phone.
I have Nokia N95 V21. may be this also works for you guys.
Regards,
Adeel Ahmed
