What is ScummVM?
ScummVM is a program which allows you to run certain classic graphical point-and-click adventure games, provided you already have their data files. The clever part about this: ScummVM just replaces the executables shipped with the games, allowing you to play them on systems for which they were never designed!
This is just the definition from the official site.
The person that's in charge of the Symbian OS port is Anotherguest and he's updating his port for the S60v5.
I'm testing the release as much as I can and it's working pretty well now.
You can get the freshest build at the ScummVM forum ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) and look for further instructions on the same site.
The only thing that you have to do once you start it up is to pres CTL and after that 2 on the virtual keyboard so that the screen rotates to the right side.
Enjoy playing Monkey Islands, Day of the Tentacle, Sam and Max, Simon the Sorcerer etc. etc. on you 5800! :D
