Im still new to all this flashing stuff. the only flashing i did, was a dead flash for a 6300b.

ive got an n85-1, im not satisfied with the firmware thats currently on it, because it constantly crashes on me. its installed with the most updated rm-333 firmware.

So i just want to remove the firmware thats currently on the phone, and re-install a brand new one onto it.

Whats the best and smartest way to accomplish this?

This has been discussed several time already.
You can use Phoenix or Nokia Care Suite with an offline DP.

For your particular problem, I'd recommend to hard reset and format before flashing the phone; it may solve your problem quickier.
If that doesn't work, keep in mind that if you have the latest firmware and flash a different variant of it, you'll most likely end up with the same result.

Latest FW versions are:
11.047 and 11.048 (depending on the region).

Here are the DPs I could find:

EURO (Europe):

MEA (Middle East and Africa):

Just download the one you want, install Phoenix or NCS, then install the DP and proceed accordingly.

If you need usage instructions for Phoenix or NCS, please search the forum, there are several guides.

If you still have questions or problems, please post in the right thread.
