Hi there Guys

Not sure if you can help but anyway this is my problem.
My set up is a netgear range max wnr834b and a range max next wn511b notebook adaptor.
When I go to connect it won’t find my router but it does pickup my neighbours. If I go down stairs and unplug the router it will pick it up straight away. Sometimes if you keep refreshing the windows wireless screen for around 25 mins it will again pick it up.
It’s set for my router as the default one and automatically uses it first I am running MS XP.

Any ideas:urtheman:

hi wnr834b

i googled yur router up .
what kinda wifi adapter you got in the laptop/pc ?
the best is having a matching 802.11n adapter in your computer.
but before that you can go into your router settings and play with the channels 1-11 , and see the signal gets beter ,some channels are slower because of many reasons.

greets :)

Myk!

I guess its your WIFI adapter.

Try to borrow a USB wifi to test on your PC.
