Hello all,

I'm trying to get this Navcore working with my TomTom one 2nd edition, but I'm having no luck. I've followed posts from other users who have stated that their TT One v2's are running great with this Navcore, plus I've downloaded the same archives that they post of their working TT Ones here on IPMart, but I still have no success.

I have a 4GB SD-card (non-SDHC) that I use to put the Navcore image on. Previous to trying this new version, I have been successfully using v8.010 Navcore with v805.1801 North America maps and LoquendoTTS. The reason for my desire to upgrade is to use the new v815.2019 North America maps. When I try Navcore v8.204.9718 posted by another user, my TT hangs at the startup screen and will go no further, with or without a map on the SD card.

Is it possible that the images posted here by other IPMart users don't have a patched "ttsystem" file in it (doubtful)? Is is necessary for me to upgrade the bootloader on my TT to get this working (I'm currently running the standard v5.05 bootloader).

Any thoughts or ideas are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Suggest you look at solution in the following thread. This is what I am running on my One V2 and OneXL. Just be careful when connecting to TomTom Home as it will always try and reload the official version of Navcore. In which case just decline that download and continue to get Quickfix and Mapshare uodates.

The information in this thread will also update your bootloader to 5.5015

I used the tuurtje dump on my ONE v2, and 825 map, without a glitch. It updates the boot loader to 5.5022 which is said to support 4GB SD cards. I didn't have to patch the ttsystem file.

This post would suggest you need 5.5022 for 4GB card.

I got it working! It appears as though the only way that this version of Navcore (8.204.9718) will boot on my TT One v2 is by upgrading the bootloader. When I was running the last "official" bootloader on my TT One (v5.05), it froze on bootup everytime with the v8.204 Navcore.

After reading lots of threads on this, I don't recall anybody ever mentioning that a bootloader upgrade was required to get this running, hence I didn't see the need to do it (I was removing the "system" file on the SD card before my first boot). Now I know better.

Thanks for everybody's help.
