Hi guys,

Please can you advise me if i can upgrade my ram from 2gb to 4gb as i have 4 slots on my desktop-

OS is XP home edition 2000 updated to sp 3. 4cpu 3.00ghz pentium HT
+ 2gb DDR ram at the moment.

My question is, can i upgrade to 4gb on this specification please?

I have no idea whether its a 32 bit or 64 bit-i wanted expert advice prior to purchasing extra ram.

Go to start, programs, acesories, system tools, system info. On the right you see system type. If its x86 then your OS is 32bit

i wont harm anyway
some part of it will be used by hardware

try to buy same modules as allready installed

after installing also re-adjust virtual mem

most importend is that they are firmly seated
latches must click fully closed
also ; pull power-plug out before opening case
