grard31 11th April 2009, 00:02 Hello Grard31
I've installed version 1.1 on my TomTom 500. Can you explain the difference between version 1.1 and 1.2 an why I should use 1.2 instead of 1.1?
:thanks:
Binkiee,
The only difference is the solution provided by TTuser to remove the vertical bar to the right of the screen (RDS/TMC)
For those who have the rev1.1 :
- In your GO700, delete the files : ttgo.bak, ttgo.bif, ttgo.ori,TTPnPD (if you have) and ttsystem
- Open the folder : SE_ttsystem.8.410.1218.rev.1.2 (downloaded)
Copy the file ttsystem and paste it in the root of your GO700
- Open the folder : SE_Navcore.8.410.1218.Basicpack (downloaded), open the folder swichfiles, open the folder Config, copy the file version.txt and paste it in the root of your GO700
- Disconnect the GO700, let it reboot. Wait the message : Create ttgo.bak (about 1 minute)

Binkiee 16th April 2009, 20:51 Hello Grard31,
You're doing a great job by describing how to keep the TT700 up to date. I'm having a TT500 and use your instructions also to keep mine TT one up to date. I only have to take care that there are some differences between installing the software on a 500 instead of a 700 because of the memory limitations. Isn't possible for you to also describe the installation on a TT500 and then to make a sticky of this TT700/TT500 installation? If needed I will help you and can f.g. test the installation instructions on my TT500.

Binkiee,
GO500 : ARM 920T processor is the same that GO700
GO500 : 32 MB RAM but GO700 64 MB RAM
- Bootloader : 5.5022 is for card SDHC => perfect for GO500
- Add the folder Outsourced.8410 (with navcore SE 8.410) or Outsourced.8412 (with navcore SE 8.412)
- Try, if TTS works perfect
- If not try with LoquendoTTS (voices x10): example EnglishGb – Kate with SE_Navcore.8.410 (with SE_Navcore.8.412 is the same)
- Download :
http://www.ipmart-forum.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=448965&d=1227044472
Extract the folder LoquendoTTS (1)
- Download the voice : EnglishGb - Kate
http://www.ipmart-forum.com/showthread.php?t=170022
Extract the folder : EnglishGb - Kate
- Delete the folder LoquendoTTS of yourGO500
- Install the folder LoquendoTTS (downloaded (1)) to the root of your GO500
- Open the folder LoquendoTTS (of your GO500)
Open the folder EnglishGb - Kate (downloaded), make a copy of the folder EnglishGb and paste it in the folder LoquendoTTS (of your GO500), close the folder LoquendoTTS
- Open the folder : SE_Navcore.8.410.1218.Basicpack, copy the folder LoquendoTTS and paste it in the root of your GO500 (all)
