Hello,

first of all - very nice forum. It's my first contact with a symbian based phone and my knowledge got lot bigger after reading your forums. Thanks for that. I seem to struggle with one thing though. Lately i decided to create my own themes for the i8510 because i couldn't find any on the net. Well, there are some on zedge and such but they all fail in one thing...the icons are not complete. I tried N95, N96 etc. themes but it's all the same. That's why i write now. Does anyone know the UID for "settings" menu in i8510? Or maybe somebody could write how to find those UIDs in this particular phone so i would find them myself. Not only this icon is missing, also "google" and "web". I attach screenshots. When i open this "settings" in main menu i get another "settings" and the icon there is changed how it's supposed to. I just don't know the main menu "settings" icon UID... I would highly appreciate any help :good2:

Add this icon as 3rd paty application icon to Carbide.

You mean "Window-->Preferences-->Carbide.ui-->Third Party Icons-->New" ?
I still need the UID. Either "application UID" if i add it as application or "major ID" and "minor ID" if i want t add it as "non application". That's what i meant in my first post and you didn't really help me through.

So what's the problem? There are a lot of programms that can "tell" you abot UID. For example UID Viewer.

Quote from my first post...It means "i don't know how to find the UID". That was the problem. I googled "how to obtain UIDs in symbian" or something like that but the result was just a bunch of technician gibberish. That's why i wrote here. Well, if i only knew it was that simple... "UID Viewer". As i said - it's my first contact with Symbian and i'm kinda noobish. Anyway, thanks zeq. Rep up.

I don know whether yr mobile is hacked or not.. if hacked then do th following,
use any file explorer,

go to Z:/Private/101F4CD2/Content, There u can find the appshelldata.xml
copy it to memory card. thats it.

Connect yr mobile by data cable or use memory card reader and copy tat xml file to system and open it using wordpad.. u can see all default application Uids and folders minor and major skin id...
