I've been trying so hard for the past few days trying to flash my Nokia N85 but I failed to do so.I downloaded a few Phoenix versions in hope that flashing would be a success but still without hope.I tried the Phoenix 2008 from this link

[Only registered and activated users can see links]

I even cracked it.
Here's what happened to me when I was using Phoenix 2008 :
When I clicked on refurbish, an error came out..

Flashing started
Creating product data items list
Product data items list created
Backup not required
Flashing phone
Initializing
Asic CMT: Verifying communication to device...
Getting product info...
Loading image files...
AdlServer: Rebooting...
Waiting for USB device. Press phone's power button (if you start from dead terminal)
ROM Boot Drivers loaded. Creating RAW connection
Failed to open RAW connection
Failed to open RAW connection!
Unable to set the phone to flash mode. Unable to flash.
All operations completed
Product flashing failed.

The error is :

The flashing failed. Do you like to retry the flashing?

HRESULT 0x84009404 (-2080336892)

I retried a few times but it gave the same error and so I gave up and cancelled the process.
What is the source of this problem?
Is the problem coming from my mobile or the software or worse,the pc?

I uninstalled Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver, Nokia Flashing Cable Driver, Nokia PC Suite, Nokia Service Tool Drivers as mentioned by a few tutorials. And it STILL doesn't work for me.

Someone please help me, I'm in need of help and advice to solve this.

For your convenience, here's latest version:

If you just want to flash a the same or a new firmware (or variant), I'd advice you to use Nokia Care Suite; it's much easier and should give you less trouble.

If you're trying to dead flash, make sure you follow the steps (as you can see in your own log, there's a part of the flashing process where you have to press and hold the power button on your cell phone).

Also, keep in mind this is a very sensitive process; you should do it with no other software running at the same time (I'd even say you disable the antivirus and firewall while flashing and close all other windows).

If you still have trouble, please provide some more details such as:
-current FW version
-FW version you're trying to flash
-Windows version (including service pack)
-Are you using the original USB data cable that came with your phone?
-Are both the USB cable and the phone USB connector in good shape and properly and tightly connected?

1st of all,I wanna thank the moderator and the other members for viewing my thread,I'm so grateful about it *laughs*
I hope you guys could help me the best you all could.

I installed Phoenix_2008_44_5_v2.exe filled with excitement hoping that everything would turn out well.Again, another failure occured to me..
A window popped up when I was trying to check for the Phone's Information via
Product --> Phone Information

The error is :

Phone Information UI

Error while reading Info data from the provider.
Please check that the product is connected properly
and the connection has been established.

HRESULT 0x80004005 (-2147467259)
This means:
Unspecified error

CMsgBase::WaitMtiMsg32:MTI32,'Timeout';MTI=0x80042 007
CMsgBase::WaitMtiMsg:MTI32,'Timeout';MTI=0x8004200 7
MsgInfoVerRead;MTI=0x80042007
CPcfPhoneInfo:: PcfInfoVerRead, 'MTI error';PCF = 0x80041009

I connected it to my USB, yet it couldn't detect my mobile. What is wrong? Problem seems to get worse.. I'm so depressed now.. I don't know where I went wrong, flashing my N85 sure is troublesome..
Any other ways?

pool7, I really need your help.
My current FW version is 10.045
I'm trying to flash it into APAC 11.047 v2.0
my windows version is XP Professional Version 2002, SP3
Yes,I'm using the original USB data cable that came with my phone,it's CA-101
And lastly,yes again,both my USB cable and phone USB connector are in good shape and tightly connected properly..
What is the problem?I just don't understand why..

I can't tell for sure what's exactly wrong, however here's what I'd recommend you to do:
1-Remove the memory card from the phone.
2-Make sure you set it to PC Suite mode when you connect it via USB
3-Try without a SIM card in the phone.
Also, connect the charger to the phone (and to the wall).

Finally, here's a newer version of Phoenix that you can try:

If you still experience the same, I'd say you try with Nokia Care Suite:
