ya BR you are right, but I also suggest you to edit Area - Main Area - Control Keys ®ugge. Sorry to say that I am not expert themer but I am sure theme will more attractive if you edit all elements separately don't use replace/copypaste method.

for last screenshot you should make bar ver, I mean make a shiny bar on Areas - Control Areas. Edit all Control Area Background & Idle Area Background.

Thanks BlueRay and Dhanu i'm also facing the same problem thats means we can't see any change in control key in carbide 3.4 also and i think it is a bug in ver3.3 one more problem when i edit button (edit every piece separately) the button does not look as a one piece (it look like a border around center piece) in carbide. Does it ok or i'm doing something wrong

FYI many times I review and test with changed that part but I still got the problems. There was a different screen between carbide screen and the result, even "clock face" has cracked too (sorry no image).

Yeah, maybe the problems is in svg elements... you're right. Coz I m not expert in Illustrator and Photoshop but I tried to make all elements by my self... and I have a dream that I want to make themes with all my own creation part/elements.

Maybe I have to learn more about illustrator and photoshop if I want to be a theme maker like You.

One more thing about carbide 3.4..... a few weeks ago I inserted 3rd parties app icons, but after i finished insert whole 3rd icons... my project getting error, I cannot make "sis" file. So I have no idea to insert the 3rd icons until now.

Hi, didnt want to make a new thread and sorry if this isnt the right place. Today i installed cardibe and starting to learn the program. I have 2 questions so far :

1) I want to make a theme for E71, so i chose 320x240 and although in preview it shows calendar themed, when i installed the theme in my phone it wasnt! Why is that?

2) I add for test purpose the GPS folder icon by Zylam, i write the uids and again in preview it shows the GPS folder but in my phone it shows the default like with calendar.

Sir, I followed your instruction by I still got error.... maybe some mistakes in my UID or my icons.xml or I dont know, i have no idea. In facts if I inserted the icons of 3rd parties I can not make sis file.

My carbide's always getting slow... very2 slow. sometimes I can't access the menu and it was commneted likes this : "java lang error time out memory" or So it makes me sucks make new themes.

FYI my laptop specification are : Vista Ultimate, processor dual core 1,47Ghz with Ram 2GB. I think this spec is enough for carbide. I already uninstall and reinstall carbide that's why after that I cannot insert 3rd parties icons.

Btw I made elements/part by photoshop and then convert to SVG by illustrator, is this correct or not?

Besides that Just now I removed carbide 3.4 and all components in my laptop and then Re-install new ones. But still got problems.:confused:

oh, yes there is icon conflict for sure. by the way this problem arises with E66/E71/E55 plugin too but only if you skin respective pluging icons. :lol:

anyway give me you icons.xml, i will see it & tell you if I find something in it ;)
you can find "icons.xml" in "C:\Program Files\Nokia\Carbide.ui Theme Edition 3.4\Eclipse\plugins\com.nokia.tools.theme.s60_3.4. 0.0\data\config"

Check the Radio icon and verify you didn't add UID for Visual Radio

Bro, i think this also icon problem. to prove it's 3rd icon problem or not, try untick application icon before u make sis files. if u able to make sis files, it's mean problem was come from application icon. then u can check spesific section.

But if u have the same problem without this icon, mean error was came from other section. u can try check one by one later.

I can make sis file if I untick icon (only context pane icons) as you said. I think the problems was only in application icons.
After I reinstall carbide 3.4, I m using icons.xml from travis (I m using this in the past and succeed) and I adding new UID for 5800 and FP2. I attached here the icon.xml

Anyone knows how to Edit or Remove the "Application Open State Indication" symbol that shows on folders and application icons that are opened ? I find it extremly anoying and would like to see it removed or shrinked.

In carbide, i can change the symbol, but after i install the theme, its still exactly the same as before, no changes seem to be made. I use carbide ui 3.4 with n97 plugin
