View Full Version : Probs with v8 map for TomTom ONE
thefacey 22nd March 2009, 04:18 Hi guys I wonder if anyone can help as this is driving me nuts.
I have a tom tom ONE v3 and trying to install TomTom.Maps.of.Western.Europe.v8.25.2159
I have copied over the map /Western_Europe_1GB,
I have tried all the keygens around and nothing appears to be working. Everytime I switch the tomotm on it just says no maps found???
Can anyone please tell me which map/keygen I am supposed to be using???
What am I doing wrong?? Really would appreciate the help as im totally lost as to what I need.
Many thanks
Rep0man 22nd March 2009, 12:23 Perhaps you're running a old navcore, you might need to upgrade it with a patched version or patch the one you got allready with ydgpatch-tool
yoyo1 22nd March 2009, 17:55 make sure you have stuck the map in the correct folder and make sure you have followed the easytools instructions correctly.
Your problem has happened to me before and all i realised that i wasnt following the instructions properly and that is i didnt stick the meta in the correct folder.
N.B. Use the latest easytools updated with new metas.
thefacey 22nd March 2009, 20:32 Thanks for the replies, I just confused as to what im supposed to be doing.
Which navcore do I have to update is there a link?
When you say stick the correct meta in the folder what do you mean?
Sorry to be thick.
Rep0man 22nd March 2009, 20:40 The navcore is the ttsystem file on your device, you have to check if it's a vers that supports the map you're trying to use, if not you have to update the navcore aswell.
If you're using easytools you have to have a recent meta in the same folder as your easytools otherwise it wont work. You can aslo use Albert's Easy Activator wich imo is easier to use if your not that used to easytools.
Look in FAQ's for links to TTusers navcores if you need to update the navcore.
If you have a navcore that supports your map you can simply patch it with ydgpatch and you should be up'n running in no time
thefacey 22nd March 2009, 23:04 Ok I have used albert keygen and copied Western_Europe_1GB the v8.25 to the device, and done all the updates through tomtom home too.
Now when it starts it says you cannot use this map on this device, I can't see why not?
Do I still have to manually update the navcore? if so how and where do I go for that?
Thanks again.
Slijper2 22nd March 2009, 23:31 Thefacey: Wich Navcore do u use?
To use Map v8.25.2159 you need at least Navcore 8.3xx or higher otherwise u can't use it i think maybe that's the problem.
And you sure u use a patched ttsystem file?
thefacey 22nd March 2009, 23:36 Hi I just copied over all the files from navcore 8.204.9718 this link:

thefacey 22nd March 2009, 23:47 Thanks is this ready just be copied to the root folder of my one? no patching?
Slijper2 22nd March 2009, 23:57 Thefacey: Put the SE Navcore 8.302 in to the root of your SD. Put the Map 8.25 u want and use Alberts keygen to patch the map and u are done.
