Hi folks,

My friend has a compact presario and its only have 480mb of ram,took it pc world they said it can only hold max 1 gb of ram.

The laptop need sorting out-My question to the expert are;

1-Is it max 1 gb ram it will hold?

2-Is it crtl + f11 for factory reset?

Please guide iin the right direction.

You could probably have given more information here as the Presario range is quite large.

Check underneath for a label showing Model Number..
If it powers up, you may get this from the Sysytem Settings Information, depending on O/S

Elicit a Search on the Compaq website ( just Google it ) and the Max Mem information should be in the Specifications.

Look for a Manual & Reset options should be there but again, Search is your friend.

Failing that, ask again providing the basic info required to assist you.

1. its depend with the specs.. if using windows xp. i think its good enough.. but if u using vista, 1gb of ram is minimal needed..

2. i think laptop doesnt have factory reset, if u wanna set default your laptop, u install a new windows again, or u can use windows system restor. its give u previous state but when u create a restore point.
