Hi,
I have a Go 710 (running 8.204, bootloader 5.502), which works almost perfectly. I noticed however that I sometimes have difficulties to power it on (after I connect it to the computer or after I remove the SD). The only solution is then to reset it.
Is this normal ?
Thanks

And if you remove the SD Card and insert it again ?

when you disconnect it from the computer, it reboots the 710, and then restarts it self.
And the same when you put back in the S.D. card.

Well, thanks for your answer.
But I am wondering why so many people have this problem (http://www.amazon.co.uk/product-reviews/B000FDT1MA?pageNumber=3) and if there is something to solve this problem.

As I know, 8204 is not official navcore for your device - so perhaps you're using TTUsers SE version? If so - put file poweroff (0 bit) into folder Config - then device will reset itself on startup. It will take more time, but will fix all bugs automatically. And try not disconnect youf device from comp, or pull out SD from working device! Turn it off before!

I have tried the poweroff option. I do not see what it is doing. I thought, it would prevent going to sleep mode. But when I press the On/off button to switch it off, it looks like the device goes to sleep mode (on pressing again the button, I observe a quick boot).
BTW, do you know how to remove the message that appears everytime I plug my Go to the mount. Something like" RDS/TMC . To use this device, install the lastest software ...."

Alas! I held TTGo910 in hands very shortly - just installed navcore8060 & maps. Was problem with sound after "wake-up". So this file really forced PND to do long start - and prob was solved. no more info

Then I might not know how to do it :)
I have a file setconfig.txt in the root of my sdcard with the following:
model:x30
runclean
FMon
poweroff
changedtext:TT GO 730_pimped

(I am using 8.204 rev 1.5)

I don't know how it works, but all is written in readmenot.txt - just unzip file switchfiles.zip - you'll have folder named Config with several files.
leave files you want, delete others, edit else. You'll not find poweroff among them - just create it with notepad (without any text), save and rename it - it must be without any extension. Then put it into folder Config. That's all.
