This was one of my greatest expectations these times. Spb does great software but designvise it always end up kinda ugly. I have never seen a better "factorymade" UI in my 8 years doin windows mobile but on the other hand: I have never seen a uglyer one! Why do they have to make it look like it was made in 1995? Transitions and functionallity are top notch but if this was my dog, I would have to kill it.

Twice.

Mostly, it looks like a programmer thought: "If I can program it I can design it as well."
Guys: (there might be a girl as well) Please start skinning! The UI is so ugly that nomather what functionallity it brings it's not worth it.

One more thing: Anyone here who knows who are designing this? ...and get paid doing it? And come on: this has nothing to do with taste. Who of you are using a originally spb based skin on their software?

Just stfu and go back to your tf3d and stop whining in every other forums about it. You're an eyesore.

thats a pretty mean remark.

anyway this cab works for me. the one provided by the other link doesnt. The program will just stop installing by itself.

thanks for posting!

WHAT?!?!?!?! Wow that was low. Reported. And just to mention it, I don't use TF3D.

@ shyloh: Oh come on man. I'm I spamming anything? Well it's me in two of them. do you consider that as double posting? :) where is the third? Howcome it's only OK to be glad for this? I bet you said hooray over at Xdevs as well? Come on guys.. I'm not flooding anything. I'm just not too happy about crappy design. "Every single reputable winmo site"? No. Just two. BTW: I use the same nick in every forum.

Know what: I have started my first skin for it :)

The flame comes from seeing the exact same post on every single reputable winmo site. I've read those comments one 3 forums in the last 10 minutes...

Hooray for this!!! I'm sooo excited to bury myself in this shell for a while. Thanks a zillion for this!

I really enjoy this new version of Shell!! The original Today and TF3d can be cast off!

A few shortcomings I've found in Shell v.3 are:

1. Cannot edit Spb menu as in v.2, except my links
2. Not able to save my design

I have to agree with thedaniel, I think it doesn't look very good cosmetically, too cartoonish imo... But I'm 100% sure it will be fixed in the future with custom themes :)

Otherwise it's a great shell with lots of posibilities & very fun to play with. Personaly I went back to TF3D until there's some themes available for mobile shell 3. Maybe eye candy is too important for me...

When I try to install the cab I get the message that the install was unsuccessful. Am I doing something wrong?

Edit: It installs it but I have to access under programs and I cant see the home page for it. When ever I try it closes the app. Any ideas?

Thanks for that, I removed all of the SPB mobile shell files and then re-installed and it works fine. Just found the tool of linking your phone contacts to facebook contacts to use the pics etc. Very handy. Anyone else found any really good but not obvious features? Does anyone have anywhere you can put rss feeds? preferably the lifestyle layout?
