WeFi 1.04 Build 10 Update

WeFi is a "sniffer" of Wi-Fi (sniff) public and private. It can connect to the network of the best quality, but also offers instant messaging designed to chat with your contacts WeFi nearby.

The detection of wireless connections is automatic you can see their level of quality at a glance. Unless you know the WEP or WPA key to one of these networks, one must rely on the free access points, very few outside the cities.

This mobile version has the advantage of automatically disable GPRS to WiFi when it is detected and that WeFi can establish a connection.

WeFi also locate your friends on a map, provided you have created an account on the site WeFi.com. Instant messaging allows you to chat with those who are connected.

WeFi mixture wireless sensor and communication tool. It is rather a good idea, provided they live in urban areas and have a lot of friends who use it also.

When you're not connected, WeFi constantly monitors your surroundings, so when you do want to connect it's already aware of the best network.

Here are some key features of "WeFi (S60 3rd Edition)":

Verified internet access

Automatic connection to the best spot

A comprehensive backend system that uses Wi-Fi data gathered by the entire

community (coming soon)

Constant checks of your surroundings to provide you the best Wi-Fi on demand

Nice update. Some notes on this release from their website:

Dear WeFi crowd!

A new Symbian S60 release is now available - 1.04.10

The new release fixes several problems in 1.04.05, and we recommend
everyone who has 1.04.05 to install the new version immediately.

Overall, 1.04 introduces better connectivity, multiple bug fixes and
better graphics.

We will soon be releasing a major upgrade that includes much better
handling of passwords and more.

Stay tuned!

On my N95 8GB, while the app was loading first time (loading screen is displayed), it to hanged and crashed. After I looked into the settings-connection-access points there were 98 copies of protected Wefi AP's created. Reset and uninstall/reinstall didn't fix the problem.

AP's were removed, after the Hotspot manager and Wefi were uninstalled.

Does anybody else have same kind of problem.

whats the difference between this and Psiloc Connect?
Will this also automatic disconnect the GPRS if it founds a free wifi connection, or just like Psiloc only connect to known wifi connections?

Hi!

I've got a problem with this soft. WeFi 1.01 worked great for me, then i installed an upgrade - WeFi 1.03. After that there were no "Automatic -WeFi" on the list popping up whenever some app required an internet access. It's weird, because in "Tools/Settings/Connection/Access Points" i can see "Automatic -WeFi" - it's on the list and protected/locked. So i returned to the 1.01 and the same problem. WeFi v1.04(10) - bug is still present :(

Thanks in advance for any help :)

P.S. Sorry for my english :)
