Hi,
I need navcore 8.350.9980 for my GO720 (original for x40,x30,x20)

If TTUser can do it, I'll enjoy :urtheman:

Sorry for my english, i'm french.

http://www.ipmart-forum.com/showpost.php?p=2653956&postcount=609 the obvious place to look, even for a Frenchman!

You don't need SE version. Your 720 is part of the x20 series!

That's right BiggerDave. But i prefer the x40 icons and the night color (orange and dark grey). That's the raison for what i stay in SE 8.412 at the moment.

Thanks a lot.

I didn't install it yet, but I like the partial reactivation of the FM transmitter.
Did anyone try to use this with some silent music? (I really love this genre on
a PND).

Another thing: are the icons in a binary, or are they simply images that could
be copied from one ttsystem to another (unpacking - moving - packing)?

Updated the overview:
http://www.ipmart-forum.com/showthread.php?t=352827

First impression: no anti-aliasing for map, no voice control on x20

Some bit flipped. Bad luck?

Switch off, put on cradle, turn on, let it connect, kill HOME, roll back back-up, reset
Try updating again

I had the same problem on my 930.

hardrest didn't work, so what I did was put the 930 back in cradle.

start 930 and it connected to my computer ( not HOME )

then I used easyusetool to patch the ttsystem.

Then removed the 930 from cradle and then did another hardset.

930 is up and running fine.

He,
sorry my bad English.

Good Procedure (for me):

1) Backup GPS into PC
2) Format GPS Internal Mem (Win fat32 - Slow)
3) Copy Navcore 8.350.9980 relese Official file .cab into GPS
4) Overwrite GPS with Basicpack TTuser.
5) Overwrite ttsystem with ttsystem TTuser
6) Copy Map into GPS
7) Clear Flash for three times
8) Hard Reset
9) Scandisck (PC) or Verify Disk (Mac)..........

.........and enjoy (no freeze, no autoreset).

In my TT GO720 navcore 8.350.9980 not works light sensor in x40 emulation. Any Solution?

Light sensor has not worked in any of the x40 navcores on non x40 devices with x40 emu. Simple solution: Use Voice Control.

Raffetti

Light sensor works only with x30 emulation (on almost all navcores)....
also wireless services work with x30 emulation and NOT with x40's one.
in x30 emulation there is no starting/shutting down (or suspending) sounds, while in x40 emu they correctly work.

If another member creates an SE thread first, TTuser posts SE links in there.
TTuser is very respectful of Forum & does not create 'duplicate' threads ( unlike some )

Out of equal respect for TTuser, I move it to Post #1 asap
It makes the SE links easier to find & is rightful placement for TTuser annyhoo.
After all, who better to 'own' a thread than the creator of the product inside....

As a Mod, I can edit/move posts & so my u/n is shown as last editor until OP edits again.

TT GO 720 emulation x30

everything is fine for me

I've got the answer to that one. TTuser has altered his SE ttsystem file to give x40 emulation as the standard as opposed to the x30 emulation which was in all his previous ones. This causes the effects that you experienced. The cure is ( on my 920, anyway ) to open notepad, simply type in to it this: x30 and then save the file giving it the title: model.txt and place it in the root of your device along with the SE ttsystem file and job done!

I'm having problem with my tomtom 920T with navcore 8.350 and also 8.412... everything works fine but my device turns back on after turning it off after about 2 minutes... is there any cure......

what i have is
8.350-go940.CAB-navcore-GO (original)
SE_ttsystem.8.350.9980 (replaced ttsystem from this SE file)

everything works fine, boot up and shut down... once i added DAYLIGHT V2 for my automatic light switch. My device turns back on automatically after about 2 minutes from turning off

For those whose having problem with freezing after boot up... download the original navcore 8.350 for go 940.cab... unzip it and replace the ttsystem with SE ttsystem... you will get x40 emulation but automatic day and night switch will not work...

i tried the other orignal and replaced the ttsystem i get screen frezee..

i think ttuser needs to write a new ttsystem for other orignal 8350's to make it work.. (maybe this will cure the automatic light switching if you download the 8.350.go530-go730-go930.CAB-navcore-GO, 8.350.gox20.CAB-navcore-GO and 8.350.go630.CAB-navcore-GO for device go 520/730/920/530/730/930)

Hello everybody,

I have a TT730 and I'm having a liitle bit of trouble to get him on 'fit'.

I started with the device format followed by replacing the new original cab: 8.350.go530-go730-go930.CAB-navcore-GO.cab and overwrited with basickpack + tt system (SE_Navcore.8.350.9980.Basicpack.rar + SE_ttsystem.8.350.9980.rar).

After this I've formated my SD and put there the WaCE map with this meta (and ran the easytools):
Western and Central Europe 2GB 830.2305 (mine) - WaCE.830.2305.2GB.zip
; Western_and_Central_Europe_2GB_830_2305
AF 25 A1 76 BE 0A 9B 9A E6 D5 BE 97 EE 7F 6A 1F Western_and_Central_Europe_2GB-35.meta

After an hard reset and boot up, the TT keeps freezing in TT logo and reboots indefinitely. Just to test, if I put the original ttsystem from 8.350.go530-go730-go930.CAB-navcore-GO.cab, the TT boots normally and (of course) doesn't recognize the map. :confused:

What am I doing wrong with this?

***** I've skipped the basicpack copy to TT and it worked! After that, when I get to the menu it freezes and reboots :| To work around this, I've just copied basicpack and for now, Its all OK.

Thanks in advance,
CB

I have a tomtom 730 and tried using the 8.350 9980 by TTuser. I experienced multiple lockups, some icons were missing, tomtom would reboot itself when locked up. I did try doing a hard reset also.

I put my back up back on and started all over again and tried going step by step from one of the forum posts and I got the same results. Lockups would happen very randomly. So I put my backup back on and updated my maps and used the downloaded version of 8.350 from tomtom and patched it myself. Corrected the issue but none of the cool x40 stuff. Oh well.

Hopefully another SE patch for the x30 in the future that is working properly without lockups.

A little question for TTUSER (thanks for all) ...
what does the (hidden) "time:" switch in setconfig.txt means?

Time for what? I don't fully understand the "t" variable in your etc\rc script included in your se navcore system....is simply the time the messages remain on the screen or is a "trigger" for something else?

Thanks for the answer and for your efforts.

The sensor and wireless services work in x30 emulation. (or modelid:25)
In x40 (or modelid:24) emulation the sensor and the wireless services don't work, but you can hear the splash sound (only resuming after suspend, and not after reset) and the suspend sound.

Bluetooth is up and working in both emulations, but AARGHH my x-trail nissan car stereo doesn't pair with hifi speaker option, (the car says connection:ok, but tomtom says "sorry!" after choosing "my car" and correct 1234 pin).

The "50 meters delay from real position" problem is now ok, but i have to choose to NOT view (street preference) and speak (tts voice preference) road names (and next road too).

The bluetooth connection with a nokia n70 is ok, but the contacts transfer starts, counts all the contacts, and after...never stops, what the (beep) is waiting for to complete? I have to press cancel on tomtom to return to normal operation....

I thought this Navcore didn't have Anti-aliasing on the maps?

I'm running 8.35 (x30 emu) with 830 NA map and the map is Anti-aliasing. No 3D building though.

*Edit*

NVM.. anti-aliasing is only active in 2D mode.

I have a little more explanation of my problem in night mode. in daytime viewing, the icon menu and map flash rarely but sometimes. in Night mode it is systematic and very frequent when the display is in town for example with many details. pearhaps the problem is the occupation of the memory? I am surprised that nobody have this problem on a x10.

Tom Tom 910 and SE_8.350 -at attempt to adjust wireless data connection for TT services-TT at once disconnected from phone (cuts down BT).

According to a TT, writes that it is impossible to execute operation and suggests to adjust wireless data connection manually.
At installation of options manually the TT last point are asked any "login script". after manual input of options, TT writes that it is impossible to establish connection.
As soon as you leave the Menu-TT automatically connect back with phone through bluetooth.

You need the same settings on tomtom as like the ones used when your phone acts like a modem on your pc.

So (generally) phone number is "*99#" or "*99***1#" and the script should be like at+cgdcont=1,"IP","the web apn adress of your phone carrier", username and password usually blank, dhcp and dns usually automatic.

All these works in x30 emulation (not in x40) using the se navcore versions

At least (but not last) you must have a VALID TomTom account to access whatsoever wireless service (meteo too)

On tomtom there should be also the phone_database directory and 4 connect2internet.xxxx files in root.

Very soon (on this thread, i suppose) there will be the new 8.351 SE version with a new gprscomd file in bin folder

Hi everyone
I would like to thx TTUser for all.
TT920T working fine on x40 but it don`t like the .dct files created on map to activate radars but it loves .mct files on radars. Freeze on startup and i have to del the currentmap.dat and those .dct to have a normal boot. Now i`m gonna activate the radars on Truk map (the one who create .mct) and then copy into 830 map.

Thanks for the answer, but the basic problem that at the beginning of adjustment Wireless data connection TT and phone communication on BT.
breaks are restored only after the termination of adjustment and to an exit from the menu

All right.

Thanks TTuser. :thanks:

Greetings from Spain,

Hola bihurkatu,

Thanks for your post regarding your GO 300, I also have one of these units.

You say you have in Setconfig.txt; model:x40light, runclean, delgns, delmap and noqfixdel.

But what does it do and what do the commands mean?

I can see many messages regarding patching maps, TT Home and TT system, but nothing unless I have missed something about the above, or any of the things you can change, one I found in ttgo.bif which is "ApplicationVersionNumber" I found by changing the number after ApplicationVersionNumber my GO 300 is able to become other models, so perhaps someone can can tell us all what all these bits of information mean.

I also see in the Navcore ZIP packages GOx ....... So which Navcores will work with the GO 300, easy when you have a "GO930 etc" don't forget we don't all have the latest or a new model.

So is it possible for someone to do a list of all the abbreviations, what the mean and what they do?

This is what I have on my TomTom GO 300:

App ver 8.410 (1218/090213) OS:286217 32 MB RAM (free: 3.8MB)
GPS v1.20, Boot 5.5120
Map United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland V830.2305

I have in my "Setconfig"
model:x40light2
btoff

So what should I have and in the setconfig file, if I update my setconfig to the above what will I gain?

Thanks and I look forward to finding out more. :Love:

HolidayBob.

Hello HolidayBob,
All basicpack of TTuser contain a file readmenot.txt in which it is well explained the role of each of the switch can be used in the file setconfig.txt

There is no difference in file setconfig.txt for GO300 with navcore 8350 or 8410

Greetings,

Hola,

Thanks for the reply. One other thing I am findinding is that the unmbers in ttgo.bif as shown below change!:

DeviceVersionHW=GO 300
DeviceSerialNumber=************
DeviceUniqueID=***** *****
RamDiskVersion=20040301

RamDiskVersion=20050407
BootLoaderVersion=204
LinuxVersion=723
ApplicationVersion=4109 <<<<<<<< Changed again
UserLanguage=English UK
UserName=

It looks as if they change depending on the Navcore/Map installed. So what numbers are the correct numbers for Navcore 8.410 and Map UK & RI
v830.2350 on a GO 300. I need to be able to use TT Home, download mapshare updates, computer voices etc so my GO 300 has the full options it can? I have noticed sometimes it thinks it is a GO 5??.
Thanks in advance,

HolidayBob.

HolidayBob,
BootLoaderVersion=10012 Is not significant, it is part of TomTom Home.
To view TomTom Home functions similar to those we see in GO300 with navcore 8350 and 8.4xx except computerized voices (LoquendoTTS), I have the GO300 in the root files ttgo.ori, ttgo.bif and ttgo.bak.

ttgo.ori
[TomTomGo]
DeviceName=TomTom GO 300
DeviceVersionHW=GO 300
DeviceSerialNumber=XXXXXXXXXXXX
DeviceUniqueID=XXXXX XXXXX
RamDiskVersion=20090427
BootLoaderVersion=55122
LinuxVersion=310360
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=8350
ApplicationVersion=9980
UserLanguage=Español

ttgo.bak and ttgo.bif
[TomTomGo]
DeviceName=TomTom GO 300
DeviceVersionHW=GO 300
DeviceSerialNumber=XXXXXXXXXXXX
DeviceUniqueID=XXXXX XXXXX
RamDiskVersion=20090427
BootLoaderVersion=55122
LinuxVersion=310360
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=8204
ApplicationVersion=9718
UserLanguage=Español

When connecting to TomTom Home read the file ttgo.bak and write to ttgo.bif
If you order dll file download folder, accept and apply patch to file for navcore 8204 dll
TomTom Home will change the data in inconsistent ttgo.bak and ttgo.bif

GO300 Offline read the file ttgo.ori and write to ttgo.bif

Sorry but the translation is not English.

Hi All,
I've installed this NC on GO510 with Map UK&ROI 830.2305. Everything seems to be working fine (IQ,ALG&ASR) and looks very impressive, except for 1 little problem. I can't put in full postcode search,after the first 3/4 letters/numbers, it then asked me for street name.
Should this set-up accept full postcode search like I had before, or is this 1 of the changes TT have made ?
cheers
rosco

TT Go510 which thinks it’s a 710
App 8.350
Map UK&ROI 830.2305
2 gig card
RDS-TMC

Thanks to the people on the forum I now have the above system up and running but there are a couple of things I can’t get to work which I would like.

1. I’ve got the computer voice working and can enter Navigate To via voice up to route choices; I’ve got the 1930’s mic showing and taking voice commands but can’t get it to do anything using the range of commands listed under ‘What can I say.’

2. I’ve an option under Speaker Prefs to use ‘FM to your car radio’, there’s a work through which is very clear but I can’t seem to get a connection, or indeed find an unused frequency on the radio.

I suspect the 510 in 710 clothing isn’t up to the task due to it’s limitations or the fact I only have a 2 gig card.

Maybe them as know could help me out, yet again :-)

App 8.350 on an x10 is an SE version - moving to appropriate thread.

Q1. ??

Q2. x10 devices require external FM Transmitter mount, which is an accessory / replacement screen mount
