I have loaded my Go 300 with map WE 825.2157 and navcore 8204.9718, successfully got it working with Alberts easy activator. All works except it doesn't pick up GPS, it appears the GPS engine isn't running. Anyone suggest a solution please? Can I try navcore 8310.9760 although it says this is for GO 400?

I have found that it can take a while to get a fix. You are outside aren't you. Turning my Go 300 off then back on seems to do the trick for me. Same navcore as you but now the v8.30 map. I am loathe to "up" my navcore though because NC 8204 is working. If it ain't broke........

Navcore/bootloader doesn't effect sat fix....only patience does.

Half an hour outside no GPS, I think there is a problem. On my working SD card with navcore 8.010 and map 815.2024 it picks up GPS in 5 minutes most times less. Could it be there is no free ram with navcore 8.204 9718 using engine 1.20 5.5112 out of the 32 m/b on this 300? On the working one, 1.21 5.5112 there is 8.5 m/b free. Can you doctor the GPS files from a working navcore to this one?

it sounds like you have 2 different cards is this right?switch the cards around in the 300 one after the other see if it asks to reset everything like langauge and some other things, then see if it will get a signal.worked for me.

Hi,

I am using a GO300 with map UK & RI v825.2157 and navcore v8204.9718, 2GB card and all is working ok, GPS fix is quick both in and out doors, the other day I had not sure if it was 10 or 12 satellites when in my car.

The only problem I have is when connecting to Home, I get "Error when contacting server, invalid version of TomTom Home application", I just click Ok and home works ok frm there on.

HolidayBob.

Really puzzled, gone back to navcore 7.903, all new maps work with this one. There is no GPS with nav 8 and the new maps 825. Thanks for all replies.
