I have a GO710 with SE Navcore 8.413.123 (working as Go 940 live)
Everything works perfect other then :-

Traffic HD - which is working ( Traffic info looks and act like it's fine to me , updates, re-routes ect.. bar on the right side showing traffic when there is ... but voice command for "read traffic report", says " tomtom traffic not activated ?? strange i say, when i got the traffic bar on the side and traffic updates from the TMC antenna i am using fine. even when pressing for traffic report it does give a traffic report by voice. Am i missing something ?????

Weather - when asking for weather report - screen go's back to main navigation map screen, and thats it. any one got this working?

Fuel Prices - just says , you can join this service and download from tomtom hoe ect. in tomtom home shows nothing to update ect.. anyone got this working?

Has anyone got any of these working fine ? :exactly:

:thanks:

These are LIVE services and when you use that navcore it looks for the built in sim to call and update.

Cheers for the information . You dont know if you dont ask !

I was assuming, since most of the updates are software ( Navcore ) related , and NOT possible Hardware added, it may be possible to get these too :-

GPRS connection via bluetooth to the phone could access the internet to obtain such information from varios weather and traffic streams. such as the TMC traffic reciver is getting traffic info from FM & also can be configured for gprs internet access too" on the older navcore "original setup".

If as you say it is a hardware sim or chip , then, i have got to the limit of my TomTom & can leave it at that ( Which i am very happy with, of course ).

Thanks for the info !! :thanks:

i am using SE Navcore 8.413.123 (working as Go 940 live)

which means i am also runing in X40 emu .

The HD traffic is not full real HD but is run though the RDS-TMC antenna for my Go 710, which after connecting it displays the traffic bar in the right side and after calculating to route it then calulates the traffic on that route.
It shows you if there is traffic and then gives the option to re-route to avoid traffic, which it then does.

when pressing the button for traffic report on the route, it says if there is " narrow roads on junction XX ect" or "no traffic on route". To me thats i would need.

Only when by voice i say "read traffic info" does it replay "tomtom traffic is not activated".

I have almost the same issue with TomTom services! I have TT Go 510 working as 510! Bootloader 5.5128 (the lastest), navcore 8.413.1237 (the latest) and maps 8.30.2305 with IQ, ALG. Everything works perfectly! Big respect to the guys on this forum :yourock:
but what I spot since I pimped my TT, none of the TomTom services are working. On old version of navcore 7.903 I had internet connection using bluetooth via mobile. At least I was able to access free of charge content as weather, buddies. Now I suggest it tries to use non-existing SIM instead of bluetooth. Is it worth to go on navcore 8.350?

The content such as weather, buddies, google are not and never free as far as i know. but only the traffic with a one-off charge for the reciver.

the new traffic is HD which you have to pay for , but traffic normal with re-route ect is still free and working fine using the TMC- RDS antenna.

i dont intent to use of pay for weather , buddies or google, so am happy and sticking to 8.413 - better buttons menu ect. 8.350 i hvae tryed but find abit less featrures on. i did try buddies and google , and weather but was asked to login to my account "which i dont need and not going to pay for something i dont need" .

the choice is yours :goodluck:

well, sorry but you are not exactly right! if TT asks your login and password it does mean this service is payable. Just register youself on tomtom.com! Weather, buddies and something else is free of charge! And it does work on my TT with navcore 7.903 :oops2:

Thank for educating me. I was not awear of that. i asummed if you register for an account you still have to pay for the services that is for offer. I may give it a try to see if i can get it working on the newer apps.
the older apps (nav core) dont apeal to me any more.

I've tried x30 emulation mode and it did load with legacy view of Navcore. But 3G connection over the bluetooth worked fine. So there is no joy! :hardcry:
