Let me see if I can help you. First take the Proxy setup and install it on your laptop, once it is installed take the SharkModem crack and place it inside the SharkModem folder found in your C/ Program files folder. It should ask you if you want to replace one .exe for the other, say yes. Once you have done that you are done for the laptop portion of the install.

Now go and install the SharkModem.alx to your blackberry using your Blackberry Desktop Manager from your Laptop. You have to have the BDM installed on your laptop because SharkModem uses the blackberry drivers from the BDM.

Once you have the SharkModem installed on your blackberry, open the application and select register, it will show you your PIN number from the blackberry, take that number and place it in the Keygen and hit enter. The Keygen will then provide you with the registration code that you need to enter into the registration section of the SharkModem application. Once you have entered the registration code select OK and it should now show that SharkModem is registered.

The SharkModem application on your laptop will not say that it is registered...only the application on the blackberry will show that it is registered.

I have a Blackberry Storm/ 9530 and after I installled this it worked like a charm, but after trying to open/click a new web page or so it stoped working. Now I know it can only hold up to 5 channels but even when I disconnect 2 to 4 of those channels it still does not work unless I exit the program on my phone and laptop then start over. Hi tempko - Welcome to the forum.

I'm guessing you're using Vista, if so you'll probably need to run the keygen in compatibility mode. To do so execute Windows Explorer then ...


Navigate to the Mobishark cracks folder
Rght-click on keygen2009.EXE
Select Properties
Select Compatibility Tab
Tick Run this program in compatibility mode for:
Select Windows XP (Service Pack 2)
Click Apply
Click OK


Now try double-clicking on keygen2009.EXE and see if the DOS windows remains visible. If so, then enter your BlackBerry PIN to obtain your code.

If you still have problems then just post another msg here.

Thought as much, there could be a number of reasons for this. Try ...


Right-click on keygen2009.EXE
Click Run as administrator


Or


Click the Vista Orb
Enter: CMD
Enter: CD C:\Users\tempko\Documents\SharkModem\Cracks <-- path may be different as I don't know where you stored the files. Get the path via Windows Explorer by clicking in the path location select & copy the text. Then in the CMD window type CD right-click paste.
Enter: keygen2009


Or - this method usually works for Vista 32-bit & 64-bit OS


Download & Install DOSBox from Sourceforge ([Only registered and activated users can see links])
Click the Vista Orb
Click All Programs
Click DOSBox-0.73
Click DOSBox
Enter: MOUNT C "C:\Users\tempko\Documents\SharkModem\Cracks" <-- As before, manually enter your path here !
Enter: C:
Enter: keygen~1
Now supply your PIN & get your code
Enter: Exit


Or if all else fails !!!


Temporarily disable your Anti-Virus as this may be blocking the file from executing.

Congratulations, Vista can make life very difficult for executing legacy 16-Bit DOS applications (especially if you want to run classic games like Commander Keen, Duke Nukem & the godfathers of first person shooters Spear of Destiny & Wolfenstein 3D oh such memories lol).

Using DOSBox usually bypasses the UAC type issues allowing the application to run safely in a 32-Bit & 64-Bit environment. However, it does mean you have to jump through a few more hoops to get there.

I've tried this cracked version before from another forum and it worked fine (but slow) at first until I hit 3-4mb of usage. At that point I couldn't get the damn thing to browse anywhere. Now, I am not sure if it was a connection problem on my side or the cracked version is not perfect.

Thanks for this great software. I managed to install it and use it, fine for a while. Then it says connection closed, and when I try to restart it on phone and computer - it says proxy server not accepting connections.
Really gets my goat - especially when I'm trying to update something or download.
I'm just glad I never spent the $49 asked for this software.
Should of been a brilliant piece of software, and indeed it is, whilst it works.
Has anybody else had this problem? Is there any way to sort it out?
I am waiting for my broadband to be reconnected which is going to take another 10 days (which is why I don't want to fork out on this)

This is also because of the APN settings you dont have them maybe it is just the BIS (Blackberry Internet Service).
Most of the tethering application on blackberry need APN setting that is under TCP/IP in the Advanced on Options, I have never gone over an app that only tethers BIS this is what we need.

If you use the keygen you will know that the code doesnt work anymore which is why everyone is requesting for a new code. the keygen code only works if you move the date back in your blackberry to 2009. we need a 2010 keygen to make this work.

The keygen works like a charm via DOSbox, but when I enter the generated serial to the app in blackberry it says "Wrong code". And even after cracking the desktop program I can still see there "Registered to: <unregistered>" , so it's not functional at all. That's a shame, cause I really need this kind of utility :(
