NOTE: Please remove any other licenses present in your license folder as this release won't recognize them!
And do not forget to put the right files in the right places to Content folder. Whole of them.

Since I received numerous complaints regarding FFUI errors especially at 480x272 resolution, and I found corruption within the supplied data.zip, I prepared a fix for this problem.
I have reuploaded the May28 package now with corrected data.zip. All FFUI errors should be gone by now.

what are the FFUI errors? I had WM5 complain about certificates earlier which a soft reboot fixed. Will this fix that as well?

OK. Because of problems confronted, i put up a new kit without any problems. Just download "fixed". Tested on HTC Touch HD. Enjoy.

I have an ipaq rx59??.
On my SD card I have a folder igo8, in this folder I have to program files from the zip file igo8.exe ??.dll etc..
I have sub folders in the igo8 folder called content, license, audio custom etc...
in the root of my SD card I have a txt file, ADDONS.TXT the contents are

GPS = "icons/files.bmp", "", 0

[GPS]
MyGuide = "", "\\Flash Disk\\myguide\\myguide.exe"
iGO8 = "", "\\Storage Card\\iGO8\\igo8.exe"

This is because I can use it in a MyGuide 3100 which a friend has.

when you have it working you then have to go into settings to find the GPS setup page and 'auto detect' the GPS receiver in your IPaq, possibly on COM5, COM8 etc...

Hope this helps.

Stingbandel, also you can change the shortcut to your Navigation icon on your Ipaq to igo8.exe, I have a button on the Ipaq case which is setup for Igo8 now instead of TomTom.

It is well worth it, miles better than TomTom.

No! You need devices with WinCE OS in order to install iGO.

This has nothing to do with iGO2006. I don't know what device you have, but folder 2577 is just for windows mobile, not PNA (windows CE).

Look in the other thread 'iGO8 R3 v8.3.xxx Latest Maps Updated Periodically ' and download the maps form there to putin the content folder. You'll also see the building files and you can find various speedcam databases in other threads.

I just resolve the problem. for latest igo8 July 09 Update
After 1 day serach from worldwide web. This command problem.

1st - Need To rename application.dat to igo8.exe
2nd - Add 480_272.zip resolution into data.zip (iGO8\data.zip>ui_igo8)
If 1st problem still not solve.

i'm unable to make this work on myguide 4200 PNA. I have the 3 jun 2008 version of IGO8 and it works ok, but that version doesnt see the new maps. So i want to set up the 28 may version in order to be able to have new, 2009 version of the maps.

I copied the 28 may version on the sdcard, doesnt work.

Than I copied the fixed.rar version. doesn't work either.

Edited the sys.txt and added the lines :

Still no succes.

Data.zip has the 480_272 folder but IGO8 failed to open file: igo\480_272\loading.bmp
I created the folder igo\480_272 and I put the file loading.bmp inside. Igo8 starts loading and crashes without any message.

I even kept the old june 2008 version and tried to copy the igo8.exe file but it doesnt work. Than tried to copy igo8.exe and data.zip files. Still doens't work.

Any ideas on how to make this work?

hi guys, zShare.net is doing my head in!!! wont activate my account no matter how many times I try - so can't download "fixed" for my touch hd...

how weird is that.... everytime i clicked the link for fixed it made me go to the login bit on zShare - spent ages trying to convince it to make me a free account- well not that long... but then copy and pasted the link into browser and removed the anony.to thing at the beginning and it took me straight to download and working fine..... odd! just thought i'd post case it happened to any other noob. will be trying igo on touch hd cos tomtom install too complicated and it kinda sucks. will post my noobie ways for other idiots like me who have truble with the simple instructions - will post retardedly simple instructions should i get it to work... he he:). best instructions seem to be by csjjpm post #39... thanks a bunch!!
