i'm using ubuntu 9.04 i have activated all effects of cube using compiz manager and added 4 desktops. now the problem is my system hangs when i press alt+tab. Can anybody please suggest me a solution to this problem

You can look here
[Only registered and activated users can see links] but depends also on video card driver (for example, ATi cards CANNOT handle well that, because of driver limitation!)

You can try also to disable "Sync to VBlank" (General Options->Display Settings tab in compizconfig->settings->manager) :)

i have 256 mb internal video card(intel 946 pci express chipset)
