Hello, I've been searching for a couple weeks now about a problem I've been having. First I am running JF1.51 and used Apps2SD to transfer the apps to the SD card. For a while when I unmount the SD card it'll freeze and then go to the android boot screen and all will be fine. Now it's freezing while trying to prepare the SD card and I have to take the battery out to get any kind of response. I have also tried to let it "work things out" for ten minutes but still nothing.. Anyone else having this problem? Any help would be appreciated.

Just as I was thinking, I have also tried wiping the phone and reformatting the card. If it matters I'm working with a 16GB Class 6 Micro SD. Again thanks for any help!

I have reformatted the card to 400MB ext3 and I can run the app2sd program and when I try to install anything from the market I get an insufficant space error and it won't install...

After trying to to update to hero I encountered a similar problem. My hero update failed and i flashed the jf 1.51 and it seem slow so I wiped and tried it again everything seem to be work great. Until i took a pic of something happened and my phone was a brick. I had to way a few hour to get home and try another wipe but that didn't help. So I had my Nandroid back up and restored my phone. Now it works like it did b4 trying the hero update. Perfection!

Yeah I've been researching alot of the different mods and CyanogenMod looked the best. Most of the rooted fun-ness was done for you. I tried it before the latest version was stable and it would only boot loop me. So I was like eh, I noticed that the v3.3 was stable now and tried it. It boot looped once and then loaded just fine. Now everything is working as it should. Unmounting doesn't reboot the phone just makes it studder for a second or two. I am now showing that I have 400MB internal memory. I'm pretty stoked and my wife is happy that I'll stop messing with my phone for a while.. haha thanks guys you've been a great help!
