This is the latest version. Just to avoid any confusion, as Undercode explained, there was never a 7.72 version. The version labeled 7.72.4664, was in fact 7.71.4664 .


Installation:

1. Uninstall the previous version completely.

2. Sign and install the. sis on your phone. *

3. Copy the folders Drive, Maps and Res to the ROOT of your phone's memory card. The 2577 folder is only for Windows Mobile. In the maps folder, there are various .mlm files that came with this release.

4. Get the maps you want to install and copy them to the corresponding subfolder. (e.g. Maps\GBR\ for Great Britain)

6. Copy any radar files (.Upi) or the pois you want to add to the map's subfolder (e.g E:\Maps\GBR\ for Great Britain)

7. Don't get lost!

Ive got a problem: just installed (nokia e71) new build 5529 by undercode and for some reason on new Russian map(06.2009) all houses just disappeared , map works fine but theres no houses on it . any ideas how to fix that ?

I'm guessing the houses were custom POIs that you had and that got erased? If you find them again, put them in the maps folder and it should work.

That is correct. The previous version was labeled incorrectly. Check that thread for undercode's explanation.

I can't find a changelog, but I understand they fixed some minor bugs regarding POIs and radars, and it also works better on the 5800.

Personally I can't feel the difference from the previous version, on my N95 8GB.

nope theres no poi on previous build just rolled back to 4664 (houses there) and 5529 no houses again

Best place is OPDA. Just search in the appropriate section of this forum, you'll find loads of instructions.

I went through both versions, and unless it's hidden very well, I couldn't find a reason why houses do not appear in the new version. Are you absolutely sure you followed the installation instructions and copied every folder? There are some hidden files too, did you copy absolutely everything?

Where did you find the gb map? The gb map should be inside a GBR\ folder, which in turn is inside the Maps\ folder. Is your folder structure like that?

Create a GBR folder inside the Maps folder, and then copy the GBR.pak file (and any .cam or .upi files you may have) in there. So your structure will be E:\Maps\GBR\GBR.pak .

You're welcome. As for upis, they are places of interest (POIs). You can start by looking at poiplaza.com . There are other websites like it, you just have to search a bit.

I'm afaid not. The old map is not compatible with the new version...

one annoying bug sygic is not fixing , with the screen lighting set to smart settings , speedcam warnings are not announced during navigation , only instructions , speedcams are only announced when the screen lighting is set to stay ON . speedcams are set as POI , .upi format , is there a way to convert them to .CAM .

Yes, the folders are there, but are the files too?
If they are... sorry mate, I have no idea. Maybe this is something they changed in the new version..

This error could mean that you didn't copy the folders correctly, Drive, Maps, and Res folders should go to the ROOT of your memory card, not inside another folder. Is that what you did?

My 5800 has strange behaviour after using Sygic, sometimes the phone locks with a black screen and i need to turn it off and then on, sometimes the phone locks and i need to take off the battery. This problem occurs only after using Sygic and when i try to do something else e.g. browsing

I don't think it really matters; I installed it to the memory card.
Try uninstalling it and deleting everything, then reinstall.

The phone doesn't call anyone, the only reason that you might see it connecting to the internet is the A-GPS function, which you can disable from the phone settings.
As for the POIs and stuff, it depends which map you have. Try it first and see.

Everything works perfect on Nokia E66.
Just follow the instructions at first post.

You should sign the sis file, as the first post says. Do a search on how to sign symbian apps.

I formatted my phone and memory card after upgrading to v21 about a month ago then i reinstalled everything without backing up the settings. Before installing this version i uninstalled 7.72 i deleted all the Sygic folders (drive, res, maps) and then i installed again. I don't have Python 1.9.5 or any other version installed but i have Pips because it is needed for NDrive.

Does anyone experience a slight lag on the 5800? It seems to me that it is always some meters behind the actual position. I tried with an external bluetooth receiver (Holux) and it was the same.

If you reach a destination, for example your home and park outside, the map will show that you are some meters behind and as a result the route will not terminate. Also if you don't turn in a specified location then the program will follow the specified route for some seconds even if you don't turn and then the map wil start turning around like crazy until it gets stabilised and plot the new route.

Does anybody have problem with screen rotation on symbian? I've been told there is some on Nokia E90. Could someone confirm that?

Yes, it's a bug, if you press on Rotate display button, the program crashes and exits, but the auto-rotate built-in function of some models works perfect.

The rotation works fine on my 5800 either by pressing the "Rotate" button or automatic by rotating the phone.

Got a question on use of this application. Have managed to install successfully on my N95 8Gb, previously used the 7.70 version.

The question is with navigating via post code. It only allow me to enter part of the post code, for example CF23 7 ..... it will not allow me to enter the last 2 characters, instead on the next screen it ask for the street name.

On the previous versions of Sygic that I have used, it allowed for the full post code to be input.

Does anyone have any ideas on this.

also facing this problem :oom::oom::oom: apart from this I love sygic mobile! this problem is annoying - I thought I was the only person experiencing this.. lets hope sygic realise the issue and rectify it in future updates.

s why sygic kept talking disk error. yup it's workin now.

After reading this thread and another 2009.3 sygic map thread, i could finally edit the mlm file to suite my maps (oz and nz 2009.3 map). Quite a learning curve though. Anyway does anyone have the mlm file that have "ALL 2009 NEW MAPS"? would you share it plz!!

hum.. got an "Unexpected Error!" as soon as I start syggic, can't even see the splash screen. Any idea what can this be? had previous mcguider working, hard reset phone(N95), and formatted the memory card, just to make sure no settings were causing this error...

What is "the original signed version"? Disk error means that you don't have all the files installed. Follow the instructions in the first post, using THIS version, and you'll be fine.

Ah, my apologies. I have been very busy the last few days and didn't realise there was a new signed version. In that case, the answer is here:

Eeeeeediot forgot to copy the base files, and only installed the sis, so all the files were missing.

I have added the signed version to the first post.

I installed it to the internal 8GB in my Samsung i8510. works great. I have Route 66 on my mem card so have a choice of Nav systems now.

I copied the 'allmaps' to the maps folder and had no problem. It opens everything now.

:hardcry:after trying for a week not able to see any map.downloaded the files from here. When tried to instal on my n96 v 12.043 hacked. It says file corupt.then i instal the signed sis. Download the map aus and nz .put it in the map folder in root of memory card like e/maps/aus/aus.pak. There are sum mlm files already like europa.mlm,america.mlm liberia.mlm and orien.mlm. After i launch the sygic it ask for code i put the code using keygen .it says map activated but no map loaded.it hapened 2 all these mlm files.plz help and try if u show me example with aus map .what to change ,edit. It will be great if u put a video. Plz plz plz.

If you want to use multiple maps and mlm files just separate the actication codes in the License.txt file with a minus (-)

eg

DFD707DD4BLA-ASD345FF4BLU

for using two maps and two mlm files, europa and Navigreece_07_2009) in my case

No luck Pal, your SE M600i is Symbian UIQ which is actually dead, thanks to SE! This build supports only Symbian S60 not UIQ. You should look for earlier builds of Sygic 7.7.1. Not sure but 3268 build probably has UIQ support, SetupSymbianUIQ.sis file and \\Drive\Symbian_UIQ\ folder must be inside installation package.

Some maps have tmc and another map haven't. What that tcm mean?

New to this absolutely AWESOME forum. Thanx to all you guys but i am also having the same problem as Djkay. Not sure whats going on. Installed all the files as specified using the signed version, and placed all maps in correct location. Had older unsigned cracked version working which i uninstalled because of the problem with non assisted GPS giving me a poor lock. I think i am doing something wrong with the .mlm file. I have activated the maps using keygen and they become active but no maps will load. I modified the .mlm to contain [AUS] etc i'm really stuck and want this cool app. Running it on an N95.

Sygic mobile works great, today i installed it on my N97. There was no probem with installing it an activated it. The rotation function works fine.

example n:/maps/esp/esp.pak and i change the europe/mlm file with [ESP] and start Sygic the shows me no maps loaded, if i go to the settings and choose the europe2009 maps he asked for activation code. For me the previous version worked fine with the same map (UK 2009), must be this version.

That hapens if you have a map which is incompatible with this application version. I had the same problem when tried to use maps for the older 7.70 with the new 7.71. Try to find latest map, I believe it is from March 2009.

Hello folks and especially Nok1ata,

I solved my problem by my own.
What's happened.
I changed the .mlm file with the country's i need.
Those country maps are inside the folder maps.
But when i start Sygic op and ask me to activate it again, i was forgotten to use the changed .mlm file for the keygen. So far i know with previous versions wasn't that a problem before. Maybe this will help you all if you got the same problem.

My investigation so far tells me this is a phone firmware problem - It will do it with the internal GPS and also with an external bluetooth receiver and my brother in law has the same phone and he says it lags in the maps application also :(

Anyone can confirm if it does the same with Garmin or Ndrive?

I have now gone back to version 7.70 and everything is perfect again and no stuttering on the map.

Must be a bug in the 7.71 version.

when i chose my map allmap.mlm from the program tells me that i must enter an activation or a liscence code for the selected map,

You have not copied the rest of the necessary files to your memory card. Please follow the instructions in the first post.

i had the same problem at first
i uninstalled from the phone then formatted the memory card.
all working ok on my e71 :D

I've just tried installing on my Nokia E75. All the folders (drive, maps, res) were copied to the root of the memory card. Application installed successfully but when I get to the "choose language" screen, an "unexpected error" occurs.

Any ideas?

You can try to change your memory card to that from E71, with installed Sygic. I've done that once, when I had similar problem.

In the beginning it couldn't load any maps, that was because i gave the submaps the name /Maps/Holland and the original file is called NLD, so be aware you name the submap /Maps/NLD as well... Rep++

I have sygic installed on my i8910, and the internal GPS is working, just on the GPS screen it does not show the satellites. But the coordinates are there.

The "Traffic" button is not available in this version, why is this not enabled in this version?

This is the latest version. Just to avoid any confusion, as Undercode explained, there was never a 7.72 version. The version labeled 7.72.4664, was in fact 7.71.4664 .


Installation:

1. Uninstall the previous version completely.

2. Sign and install the. sis on your phone. *

3. Copy the folders Drive, Maps and Res to the ROOT of your phone's memory card. The 2577 folder is only for Windows Mobile. In the maps folder, there are various .mlm files that came with this release.

4. Get the maps you want to install and copy them to the corresponding subfolder. (e.g. Maps\GBR\ for Great Britain)

6. Copy any radar files (.Upi) or the pois you want to add to the map's subfolder (e.g E:\Maps\GBR\ for Great Britain)

7. Don't get lost!

that works on older version of sygic (v7.60.731). How can I force this map to work on Sygic7.71.5529? I must use this version of Sygic because on my new N97 only this works, and the Roumanian map for this version is very incomplete. TNX

This version does not search for full UK Postal Codes. Does enyone know solution for it ? Sygic fixed that some time ago, but the version seems to be obsolete again.With old version GBR.pos in GBR folder did the job. Does anyone have the new GBP.pos ?

For N97 only Garmin works with a decent map for your country.

Unfortunately, yes. I don't like the Garmin interface because the route is difficult to follow (the screen make strange rotations, slow recalculating algorithm, to many road colors), and another annoying thing, the interface don't display the remaining distance.
I hope iGO8 or Amigo will be ported in the future for s60v5...

The GBR.pak file has to be in a GBR/ folder, in the maps/ folder. Is it like this?
(E:\Maps\GBR\gbr.pak).

And of course you need the .mlm file in the maps folder.

You need to add the [MYS] part in your .mlm file. Or if you have a separate mys.mlm file, you just choose the map from the settings.

Looks fine. Try adding an extra empty line before [WCL], and use the keygen from this thread...

The Keygen doesn't expect you use your IMEI but the code generated by Sygic itself. The one displayed after you choose manual activation.

The Keygen asks to provide mlm file also, and it didn't happen to me that generated code wouldn't work.

The Keygen doesn't expect you use your IMEI but the code generated by Sygic itself.

This was definitly my problem. I've misunderstood the mean of device ID.

Yes, you can't receive the gps signal if you are at home, you should go to an open place without large buildings and it should work, but the first time it requires more time.

the default colours are pretty bad and trying to customise with "Sygic Colors" doesnt seem to work for me with ver 7.71

as you can see, you must use the sigle of the nation not the full name.
So for example Australia = AUS
Great Britain = GBR and on.

Unfortunatelly it doesnt work on my I8510, when i try to configure the gps device, it gives me a message like this: "unable to find gps device" or something like this... so it cannot find my built in gps device (garmin works like a charm)...

I put them in the e:\maps\aus folder and the bmps in e:\res\icons
When the .upi pois are in the folder, Sygic mobile freezes.
I have to kill the program in Handy taskman
When I move the.upi files out of the folder, I can start the program again.

Has anyone got working POIS, or Sygic working with Pois ?
If so how ?

BTW - if you don't want a splash screen, rename e:\res\skin\others\mobilemaps

If you want to convert the ov2/bmp POI/camera files into usable files for Mcguider then use this software

first run
1 Ov2Upi Translator 2.3
to convert the OV2 files into UPI

then run
2 POI Convertor
to convert those old format UPI to Mcguider 2009 format

then upload the new UPI files to your map/*** folder
and upload the bmp to res/icons folder

Also for anyone who has UPI files which dont show/crash Mcguider, do step 2 of the above and hopefully that will fix them

I copied Maps, Res, Drive and sis, and installed the sis file. I did it with the files as they are, I did it with the extra maps and additions from first page - both didn't do the job.
I keep on getting the frustrating message" "unexpected error"

Did you copy all the files? There are some hidden files in the folders, you have to copy the ENTIRE folder.

Also, the folders should be in your E:\ (memory card), not in another folder, and they are separate, not subfolders of each other or anything else, since you asked.

can this work for s60v3 as well?

Any new maps than 3.2009 ? NDrive maps are more recent...

any how i managed to do it...but after i click malaysia map it says initialization and says multi malaysia map loaded and freezes.

this is my structure and mlm files.

it means u have not copied the drive, maps and res folder in ur memory card root.

converts them to new format

I tried to install the original and the cracked version on my nokia navigator 6210 but i'm getting a message of a certificate error in the cracked or a disk error in the original

anybody got a solution ?

i can start the app,but the map will not open,,i have sweden map,how in the earth i make it work,,i tried everything ,as it in all topics,now one for all,how rename the swe.pak,and how is the structure in mem card,,?Br zezam

create e:\maps\GBR or anything else
then edit the .mlm file and add the sigle

trackerz:
remove any others version (uninstall and remove manually the dir) and then make a fresh install

got it to work on N95, without sound.

Could not get it to work at all on N97 - I get "unexpected error"

If you cannot change it from the menu, with a file manager, go to drive/symbian/settings.ini and change "language" to let's say "english.lang" and restart Sygic. After that, i think you can navigate through menu and change whatever you want.

Hi, I am using HTC Snap (non-touch screen with a qwerty key pad), when running Sygic 7.71 build 3630D, my key pad was not active and i can't use it to type or navigate the screen, only my scroll and enter button is working. I tried changing the settings.ini file under the Windowsmobile folder, but the keyboard is still not functioning, can advice ?
