FreeUnRAR v1.0.1 S60v3 Patched [26 Times Faster Extraction]

Would you believe it ? Now , you can extract rar archives 26 times faster On your Phone. Just try this :

1. Uninstall the version that you might have been using uptill now.

2. Install my repacked version which you can download here :

3. Also you must install this chinese language patch : ( Skip this step if you already have it installed .)

4. Go to X-plore (Or any other file manager that you are using ). Move or Copy the rar archive that you want to extract to D:\ ...yes, you heard me right. As you can see in the following screenshot , I have moved two parts of a rar archive viz., DarkVista part1 and DarkVista part2 to D drive :

5. Now close X-plore and Open FreeUnRAR. Select "Open File" and choose "Memory Card". You will see your rar archive to be extracted. Select it and you will see the files present inside the archive. Press Options and use the option "Extract" to extract the files to phone memory or Use the option "Extract Here" to extract the files on the D drive. You can see the DarkVista part1 folder that I extracted on D drive in this screenshot :

One more thing...you won't get any"file corrupted" messages with the extracted files which you sometimes get with X-plore (which can't even extract archives in volumes.) after extracting slightly compressed archives.

Now, it's only a question of how much RAM do you have in your phone ? Isn't it ?

Here is the Update :

1. Phone memory
2. Memory card
3. Memory card.
In fact, these three options correspond to:
1. C:\
2. D:\
3. E:\
Working on D:\ drive, you'll get 26 times faster extraction.

Sorry... abit too long winded for me. The old unrar worked just fine without the need to move files etc.

The trick is to copy files to the rom. The rom is 26 times faster than memory card. U can try this by extracting the files from x-plore.

He has fixed the open by system feature too. Orginaly assigning open by system rar files to freeunrar would have opened only its inbuilt file explorer. Your method is real cool buddy. Thanks for the patch.

In the screens below, You see the list of resources contained in the file FreeUnRAR.r01 which is from the Original Version :

Now take a look at the same file from my Repacked Version :

Check out the difference between the resources allocated to the number 30.6.
(In the original version, you see E:\ at 30.6 while in my repacked version, you'll see D:\ at 30.6)

You can observe a similar kind of change at 31.6 too.

Sorry for the off topic post, but what program are you using to see resource files in the phone? i always use the computer app, visual basic or any hex editor within the phone, but i never found this mobilbex, or mobihex or whatever it is... seems pretty usefull and time saving ^^

oh, and thanks for the update, i didnt even installed it, just replaced the resource files from my old version and it worked like a charm ;)

confirmed working 26 times faster on my n95 8gb, that luckely, with a nice memory management, has 81 mb free to make any unpack :hahaha2::egdance:

apparently it shows SMARTSIS;)

Hummm, the program is mobilhex, and i have already made my own skin for it and everything, lol, but i dont seem to find the resource editor anywere inside it, lol, if anyone can answer how to edit a resource file using this program i would very much appreciate it... :)

The Tutorial is posted , if I remember correctly, in the rom modding zone.

And I HAVE TO edit the .rsc files on phone as I don't have a PC.

When i tried to install, i got an error saying 'Certificate Error. Contact the application supplier.'

- install china
- install freeunrar 1.01 repack
Then after that open x-plore or any program you have and move file rar you have to D:\
Now open freeunrar and select options/open file
Now you have 3 memory c,d,e
Select d now you can show file and extract try it i'm try is very faster

certificate error

I can't install chinese patch, It said "unable to install, component is built-in" And I try to install FreeUnRAR Patch. When I open it, it just show two drive, PHONE MEMORY and MEMORY CARD... please..help...
