I unrared the files and put them in Garmin Folder on memory card, but it can't find the map!
there isn't also one large file, but several smaller ones!

The image files ready to be transfered to your device is in the second link, the first one is mapsource version.

The MapSoure version does install without any problem, does appear indeed in the Mapsource screen and is unlocked too. But the moment you try to use it, there is a 'handlingproblem' in the memorysection of the pc. So an error-message appears, and that's it. As far as I can judge therefore unuseful to work with. Anyone same experience, or just working well with it ??? Could anyone upload a place for a working unlocked Mapsource copy of Topo Germany??

I could not test the img-version (gmapsupp), because it does not fit with its total of more than 1,5 Gig in my Garmin Outdoor GPS's memory. So I cannot comment on it. Anyone any result to report??

Hi!
Works great! Thanks very much! One single problem, though, Garmin XT freezes on my samsung i8910 when using it, to browse the map! Why is that?
Someone know the problem and has a hint or a tipp for me how I can avoid this, pls.

Many thanks

You are not the only one, this is how garmin works (not) sometime...You may consider using Sygic, works great, good maps and you can put maps country by country, as i see it's your request, not the whole Europe. Beside Nokia Maps, it is the best solution for you. Garmin works best with garmin devices (linux)

Thanks for ur respond, now I know abt. Garmin, so I can stop waisting my time with it. I giving Sygic a try now, I found this Thread, I guess its the best one, right?

Should I understand from your statement, that it is possible to get Nokia Maps OVI for Samsung i8910? I thought this was not possible yet, I tried to install it using the new OVI-Suite-Software without success.

:ashamed:

As a Symbian OS v9.4 Series 60 rel. 5, yes, you can, but not the free one, that was meant for Nokia devices only. But after you will try Sygic, i think you will stick with it...

You re probably right, lot of users are from sygic very pleased, nevertheless, I want to have Garmin for Topo maps, for outdoor trips, one of which am planning by the end of FEB in the desert of north afrika.
