YOU WANT TO KNOW HOW TO IN SIMPLE ENGLISH W\ VIDEOS FOR MOST APPS LIKE:
LEARN ABOUT STEEL

Steel is a web browser for the Android platform that allows you to get a sneak peak into what the Android webkit has in store for the built in browser. This is more of a concept app than anything else due to the fact that it can’t be set as the default browser that you use.

Most of the basics about the web browser are exactly the same as what we’re use to seeing on this device already. It’s a full featured browser with the ability to zoom in and out, bookmark different sites, and scroll around with either your finger or the track ball. Steel does offer quite a bit more for you to check past these features.

One of the coolest things that you can do with Steel is use the accelerometer to rotate the screen. You no longer have to open up your phone to do this, simply turn it on it’s side and it will be in landscape mode. If you press the menu button you’ll be able to access the browser settings as well. This will give you the option to do quite a bit, including mask your device as either an Android phone, iPhone, or Desktop computer. This can come in handy if you want to see how a webpage is displayed depending on your device.

Steel is a pretty great app overall that shows you what the future holds for the built in Android browser. Right now it’s something neat to check out and not something to rely on completely. Hopefully we’ll see all of these features implemented in the next Android update, but for right now you’ll have to get your fix using Steel.

Hmmm, I appreciate all your releases Fox, but I don't understand the point in this video? This video is very old, from before the 1.5 update. The default browser does all this now
