No, only for Nuvi series like 7x5 and 8x5

For anyone in NZ, I would use the free gps maps compiled by the nz open gps project ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) They release map updates weekly - these include map changes as well as POI updates. The maps work really well.

EDIT: I'm pretty sure i know where i went wrong. ioji said to download the 2nd file, and because Tompson had relinked the files in a different order, i ended up downloading the 2nd one from Thompsons post, which was the map source one, the wrong one i needed for my mobile.
Then tom1807 said that the 3D landmarks doesn't work on the mobile, so i thought the IMG download which was the 3D version was not the correct one for my mobile.
Anyways, i'm downloading the IMG one now, i thought i'd leave my original post below in case someone else gets confused too.

I need some assitance in installing this map too. The link you posted doesn't have the necessary information as far as i can see. I've installed the 2009 map on my phone before, but the map that i had downloaded was just a single IMG file. This download for this 2010 map has a million files in it, which i don't know what to do with.
The only IMG files i can find are in "Additions" folder, but one of them is gmap3d which isn't the right one, and the other one gmaptz is only 500kb.

In the "IMG" folder i see RAR archives called Disk1, Disk32, and Disk64, which also contain a whole heaps of unknown files.

In the "City Navigator Aust...." folder it has another large folder called "Product 1" which has 148mb of data in it, spread throughout ~50 different folders, none of which contains an IMG file as far as i can see.

Am i supposed to just transfer the whole folder onto my phone? I'm not sure how to use this "map".

The map will work on any device, just 3D landmarks won't work on mobile phone. Just go ahead, download, transfer to your phone, unlock and navigate.

What is TimeZone update do?

I renamed the unlocked file to gmapprom.unl because gmapsupp.unl is used for 2009 map. When I opened Garmin Mobile XT 5.00.50 on my phone, it only showed the 2009 map.

Can someone please englighten me? Thanks in advance.

I just transferred the 2010 map into the E:\GARMIN folder, and deleted the 2009 map with the same name (gmapsupp.unl).
Why would you need the 09 map as well?

Also, you said you transferred the main folder to the root directory of your memory card. But you are supposed to transfer just the IMG file (not the whole folder), and transfer it into the Garmin folder on your memory card, not the root directory of the memory card.

(you downloaded the mapsource version, you're supposed to download the image version of this map, read my post and you'll understand, i made the same mistake)
