On a HTC Magic (G2) how do you tell if you are connecting via wireless and not 3G ? If i connect to my wireless AP then under wireless settings it tells me that i am connected successfully but on the main screen right on top I still see the 3G icon.

I would recommend getting APNdroid form the market. This app renames your 3G settings so that if you want to connect with 3G you disable the app, and if you want to connect with wifi you enable the app.

strange...on mine it totally switches icons....
