Is there any update in the map..
It says "includes the same detailed maps" however the last version was somewhere around 60mb and dis is around 80mb.. so any sort of update in this one..

This updates includes many smaller cities. Like

Kanpur UP
Surat GJ
Mangalore
Jabalpur MP

And so on

These smaller cities were not there in Garmin maps that were posted here couple of months back. I think these have been added in this version.

I think it would run on E 71 as well.

this update has more no of cities added to the previous build..
84 cities have detail maps.. like many new cities like kanpur are added in this release.
where as 81 cities has just the roads or may be imp poi's.. that
wat it means by 81 cities in base map coverage.

How to UNLOCK, i enter 281 in keygen & enter serial no but access denied.

Ne need to unlock if you already have previous version. Just replace the img file.

I tried to install it .. didn't work for me on n82 :(

what i did...

Downloaded setup from >

installed on mmc and then installed mmc:\GarminMobileXT.sis in mobile

Used JM5Digit(Garmin_Unlock_Generator_1_5_FID5DIGIT.exe ) to generate keys and garmin_unl creator.exe to write key files.

copied gmapsupp.img mmc:\Garmin folder

I see black screen with arrow in middle ... right bottom "0.0 no maps"

Go outside and get GPS signal. Probably you don't have basemap and the arrow is over one of Garmin headquarter by default. If you did all right, you will see the map.

pls help me i downloaded the file and then downloaded GarminMobileXT and copied to my memory card .. copied gmappupp to garmin folder
when i run application in phone nokia e71 .. it asks for 8 digit key .. what do i do ..

(yesterday i tried it with map ID 1119 and it worked. Thanks for the help) I tried to replace this map with the older one, with same unl file but did not work. I generated unl code with map id 281, but it does not work. Previous version had map id 1916 or something like that. Please help. Thanks.

clear sw.unl & gmapsupp.unl already existing & then create a new set of unl files.

brother i downloaded map and copied to e:/garmin folder and opened keygen and used 281 as map code and got key and saved as "gmapsupp.unl" and transf to same folder. when i open garmin application and view my map shows "no map - searching for satellites" how to know whether my map installed correctly or not?

Can any one tell me does this include tirupati of andhra pradesh, i can try on my own but as am using from mobile it tends to be too costlly as it is around 80mb

I followed every step but after doing everything when i open Garmin it says "Cant unlocks map using ID 3541191192". Can you tell me plz whats the problem. This map has three digit ID 281 while others are having four digits.

Doesn't matter, could have 2 or 5 digits. You didn't made the unl file right, maybe you didn't remove TXT extension, could be hidden.

@ Nitin and Rockon try with mapID 1119. It worked for me.

No Dr. You won't get street level maps for Tirupati. My city Mumbai has been covered fair and square. They have even mentioned lesser known housing societies:-)
