1. Download 'Astro File Manager' from the Market.
2. Open Astro and click Menu>Tools>Application Manager/Backup and check the box of the app you would like to backup.

you need root!

download terminal emulator free from the market
open it up
type these commands

su
cd /data/app-private
ls [will give you a list of your apps]
cp *.apk /sdcard/

your apps will then be saved to your sdcard

if you have your apps running on your sdcard you will need to replace the "
cd /data/app-private" with "cd /system/sd/app-private" without the quotes.

easiest way ive found:

root & a2sd req.

just connect your phone to your fav linux distro and mount

go to your file manager and look at your phones ext partition

there will be your apps / apps-private folders, open them and theres all of your apks

done

---
from the phone itself:
*buy* sufbs file manager, i know the guy who wrote it, really nice guy, and he really needs the cash, anyway, that'll let you access your apps-private folder and copy all of your apks out
