Download 'Astro File Manager' from the Market. 2. Open Astro and click Menu>Tools>Application Manager/Backup and check the box of the app you would like to backup. Posted via Mobile Device androidg1 4th September 2009, 19:47 yea thats a good guide but there are some private apps. those apps cant save it to sd card as backup. need other file manager ermacwins 4th September 2009, 21:37 how do i backup the private apps please? NiNiaKa99 5th September 2009, 00:37 you need root! download terminal emulator free from the market open it up type these commands su cd /data/app-private ls [will give you a list of your apps] cp *.apk /sdcard/ your apps will then be saved to your sdcard if you have your apps running on your sdcard you will need to replace the " cd /data/app-private" with "cd /system/sd/app-private" without the quotes. ermacwins 5th September 2009, 19:53 thanks I have root but it says cp: not found ggolemg 5th September 2009, 21:09 easiest way ive found: root & a2sd req. just connect your phone to your fav linux distro and mount go to your file manager and look at your phones ext partition there will be your apps / apps-private folders, open them and theres all of your apks done --- from the phone itself: *buy* sufbs file manager, i know the guy who wrote it, really nice guy, and he really needs the cash, anyway, that'll let you access your apps-private folder and copy all of your apks out NiNiaKa99 5th September 2009, 21:32 thanks I have root but it says cp: not found did you type "ls" and get the list of your private apps? ermacwins 6th September 2009, 08:29 yes it typed ls as well, can you link me to the best cutom rom with root enabled please?
