HOW TO INSTALL IT:


1) Uninstall any other version of Sygic you have

2) Install the .sis

3) Copy these folders: Drive, Maps and Res to the root of your phone

4) Get the maps you want to install and copy them to the corresponding subfolder. (e.g. Maps\GBR\ for Great Britain)

5) IMPORTANT -> the .mlm file must be in e:\maps and must be edited to include [GBR] (for example) in it!

Of course use the keygen to... activate Sygic! (some people complaining i didnt write it)

yup password is working fine, just be sure to copy and paste it right.

This version is 7.71.7044 for symbian, but the one for windows mobile shows 7.71.7034, I don't know what it shows on Android.

So anyone got any ideas how to change the touch keyboard to other languages in this app?

as you can see by the title,these is the latest version of Sygic. So its a new version of the software of course.
Also you can uninstall and leave the maps directory (if you had already installed Sygic)and then install these new version and no need to reactivate it!

Also set "fps=8" to "fps=25" :)
It does not change the navigation fps but it changes the map scrolling fps.
Much smoother if you have a decent device. :dance2:

i also would like to notice that this is the best app-version until now. it can find gps signal so easily and fast. if you care for gps signal try this without thinking anything else. mine could find gps position in seconds even inside a house. i wouldnt believe it if i wouldnt try. really amazing!

Well.. yes and no. Turn off A-GPS (Assisted GPS) and try getting signal inside a house now.
The program automatically uses A-GPS by default. So basically inside the house you connect to the Internet.

If I'm close to a window in side a house just GPS with A-GPS turned off gets a nice signal. :)

i never connect to the internet for gps signal. except from turning it off i can check when it connects to the internet through the signal it shows on standby screen. even without the a-gps its fast.

On the mobile maps 2009 i can not see maps on the middle east for example

every mlm needs modification according to the maps you use. except if you insert all the maps in the mlm. but this takes time.

works a lot better on my N97. GPS lock is better and stronger and previous version had a bit of delay but this one is near perfect.

this is fast becoming better than garmin.

at the moment there are 4 sat nav software for 5th edition, this is what i think


nokia maps = useless, slow, bad inerface, looses GPS all the time
ndrive = not many options and settings, looses GPS lock every 30 seconds so useles

gramin= holds on to GPS lock, good navigation, needs more routing options

sygic(this new verion) = gets GPS lock fast and holds on to it, good maps, good routing, Lane assistant for motorways, lot of options and settings, basically same as tomtom. really good, im thinking of buying a copy to support the developer.

first you didnt even write pass for what , second all the password has been tested not only by me but from many others users.
So maybe, you simply used the wrong password or write it bad!

(password are to avoid people copy and paste into others forum so they will stay)

At least on a 5800 with the 31.0.008 firm it is the same as before: Lagging.
even on the highway it bounces back and forth - sometimes it is more or less on place. On the city it is hopeless: You will simply miss your turn.

working fine on n97 .. a little difrferent than normal there are multiple directories under maps for each state, canada, and mexico.. also it does work on the f drive if you install it there. wasnt sure.. no one posted about it.. the device id for keygen is NOT your imei but some other id.. had to activate it through the program using thisid it gave me to the keygen.. works fine.. one feature i wish it had was some sort of live traffic..

ecep, uiq version was somewhere at the forum, but i can't give u the link, so try to look your self :) However, I can give you Russian repack for uiq of 7.7.1.3268 version, which is as far as i know the last with uiq support. This repack has only russian and english voices and the map of Russia, but I'm sure it will be not a problem to add desired voices and maps to it from other 7.7.1 versions. Here:

For anyone struggling to edit the mlm file use this way and works perfect.

1. change mlm file name to Sygic Mobile 7.71

2.then open mlm file with notepad and insert this txt

[GBR]

speedCamRelease=2009.03.05

3. Then change the [GBR] at the top of the inserted text to the map you are using eg: [AUS], [FRE] etc.... Then save the file.

4. use the keyg*n in the first post and open the mlm file, insert your device id and hit generate.

5. insert the generated code when prompted on your device.

I had an issue today, sygic couldn't start in a brand new 5800, after copying these 3 folders everything worked fine.

The same thing is for Garmin and ΝDrive etc...

These are folders made from the symbian operational system when you format your sd card. Each time you install an app, these folders are automatically updated. So you don't need to manually add these folders but only install the .sis file.

First time I tried Sygic.

So far the best I have for Nokia N95, but still not as good as my tomtom one.

Problems:
- speed camera db seems to be incomplete, during a sort trip I found 3 missing in London A406 road
- tried to add pois from pocket gps (converted from tt files) but not all of them are displayed.
- it went crazy one day when I was approaching a railway bridge( not crossing) it started to scratch like: appr, ap, appro approaching, ...., but never manged to finish the sentence. It did it like for 5 min. was very annoying, I had to turn off this feature.

other than these issues, it a great software. I like the interface very much, compared to Nokia maps it 1000x better.

Well, not always the latest version is the best... I'm using v7.60.731 because this new version doesn't have a decent map for my country and i must say i didn't had any problem with it from more than one year. I heard the new versions has some bugs. You should try it. Next month will be an update at version i use, including maps.

Me needer. But to get signal in seconds i am willing to pay 4 or 5 KB at one login....it means almost nothing...After this, it doesn't use Internet anymore. Just to get register to satellites for the first time.

There is the Serbian voice pack 4 Garmin mobileXT and NDrive, but 4 Sygic unfortunately, not.Instead, I found the Croatian language, which is very similar.

Ok I've done everything Maps in the root of the memory card, than under maps 4 folders BEL - LUX - NLD - WCL and the mlm file... I've edited the mlm file (see attachment).

This software is really great... however it starts quite slowly on my N96 :( And its quite confusing to know which direction to go (I like Ovi maps 3 more in this aspect!) !!

And one last thing, the map database is quite small :( I downloaded the full McGuide Map packs but still, it does not cover everything!

btw, still a really great software to try :)

At least on a 5800 with the 31.0.008 firm it is the same as before: Lagging.

You're right ioji, my mistake. I meant the one called McGuider, not Sygic Mobile. It's version 7.70 build 1458D, when you start it it has a pointing hand holding a mobile, instead of the Sygic crescent. Specifically, this one: [Only registered and activated users can see links]

That version, which unfortunately does not support S60v5 and crashes, was the only one that works perfectly on my N95. I tried installing every other one, and they all had problems during navigation.

I thought at some point that it must be down to the GPS receiver of my N95 8GB, so when I installed the new version yesterday on my new N97, I thought it would work great. But it doesn't... it's like all the others. Which is a shame... especially because I can't use the old one with my touchscreen.

Also the version you are using does not support the newer maps, especially the Greek ones, which I need. So I need at least v. 7.7... I don't know what the problem is, and why McGuider 7.70 was the last version to work...

No, i didn't because my country map (teleatlas)is about 700 KB - useless, just major roads. But we can hope for a new version of the one i use, by the same roumanian developer in november, compatible with the new maps, so, good news.

Yes, it's true, Teleatlas hire stuff in Roumania for this. Navteq is doing this also. Allview, i don't know what are they doing...

Since all the maps for the rest of the world were already ported to version 7.7 I fail to see why is so difficult to port the old Romania's map, which was rather decent, to 7.7. Especially since, we both know, the roads in Romania don't have a tendency to be changed every year ;) !

Have you tried Nokia native GPS software - GPS data (or something similar in the Connectivity menu)?
if this one does have GPS lock and location data then your GPS hardware is ok.
try checking it out to save a trip to Nokia service station...

I'm using a Nokia E52, and the application works really great, excepted for one mini bug: the * key doesn't work.. the # zooms in, no problem, but the * just doesn't do anything..

So: in navigation view, I can use my 4 directions button to zoom out, but when browsing the map, this doesn't work, and I have to use the numeric keys to get a larger view..

Okay no problem wont happen again

so i have everyhting working very well. But i do have one problem. I have one map that doesnt work and two that work. i used one mlm file with all the countries in it (attachment). I named the countries that work BEL and NLD (belgium and holland). But i also want germany, i named the map GER but its not recognised in sygic, it doesnt appear on the list, only belgium and holland.

i got the map from here but i dont know what went wrong. The activation went also fine. i dont know what to do know??

Upgraded from 7.6 to 7.717044 on a E71. Everything works great, except the font on all maps (during actual navigation and map browsing) has gone a bit fuzzy and not very clear (was perfect in 7.6).

Hope this is E52 compatibility issue and Sygic developers will fix it. Otherwise - we are in trouble.

I reported the issue too to Sygic, hopefully they will fix it. I will test the previous version in the next few days and see how stable it is in the E52, so far I have used it for about 3 trips and has worked perfectly (this new version would crash randomly in every trip).

I think that some kind of launcher could be the sufficient workaround for this issue, at least as for me.
This launcher should monitor Sygic in memory and restart it once crash detected.

Whats your issue? more info please.
Make sure you have only one .mlm file in your /maps direstory.
Also, if that doeant work use the following .mlm file, it contains all the european maps details, and i presume the one your using us Greece?
Generate the regcode and see if that works.

Maybe they have poor map for that part of India where you live. As i see, Google has a decent map.

Not a chance, you have to wait for Teleatlas to finish the map for your country that will work with new version of Sygic (7.7) The "huge" map that you are talking about is made by Suncart srl Cluj and can't be used in Belgian Sygic made by Teleatlas.

It's obvious, just install this one. You have to uninstall previous version just if you have one, not to get "update error".

this looks a great app but unfortunaly im getting the same as cool_gadget.
i have done as what has been said as i have read this from back to front more than once, and cant see where im going wrong.
all i get is no map loaded tap here to access the menu.
i am also using a 5800 and mine says on the startup cracked by un******e and it is all registered and everything, its just these darn maps i cant get up.
i do hope someone can help as i have the license and renamed the mlm ect but to no avail. all in e/maps/ect but nothing. got the intergrated gps working too.

well i have uninstalled this and then reinstalled it so it looks like the picture on page1, ie; no cracked by. i have now done it all as how has been said with the maps but its still coming up as no map loaded. im getting really fed up of this now.

Steve, I believe your problem is in your .mlm file.
I had similar problem. The prob was solved by editing "mapRelease=2009.3" to "mapRelease=2009.6" on the .mlm file.

It could also be the licence for that map.

Hope you manage to solve the issue.

Works with N95. GPS module is the same, but using A-GPS, you will get signal in second. Beware tough it uses internet (gprs) data, about 5 KB at every start. Your choice.

It works on HTC HD. I didn't try it on HD2, but must work. Anyway, my advice without any doubt, use IGo8, it's the best in my opinion and have great maps (for UK too). To bad it doesn't work on symbian.

hi 1st of all thank you for this wonderful GPS software :) looks excellent and wayyy better then anything else I've tried before.

quick question, I'm using the SE Satio and for some reason I cant get it to pick up the internal gps has any1 tried the satio already and if so is there an easy way to fix this?

oh well that is pretty easy!
just copy the Poi(s) into the maps directory. For example copy all the pois in e:\maps\GBR

anyways i am changing my 5800 now and i have a htc hero ( a t-moible g2 touch i think they are calling it) on its way so i will have to see what i can do with that. but i would still like to say a big thank you to all that tried to help me.

My sygic was working with Mapmyindia well now when I tried today after many days plus updating the firmware of my 5800xm from 30. to 40.I get the following message "Application close: DriveMain Thread Kern-EXEC 3" and it closes without opening the application.I have tried install after an un install but no success.Help me pleaseeee..

Just installed it to nokia 5800 with new v40 firmware and working fine !
Also installed it to old nokia E60 and also working fine.

Very nice app. Looks like new edition of tomtom, must be same developers...

Man, it's only some major roads, not even all major roads...you cannot use it. If you need Roumania, use Sygic v7.6 and this map:

its normal because the map files are .pak
the .mlm file is another thing, is the file that you create to make sygic see the maps.
So unpack the maps into e:\maps\IRL and get the .mlm file from the first page and put it into e:\maps
thats all
(anyway all was written in the first page)
