ErrRd v1.2.0 for FP2/FP3
[Only registered and activated users can see links]
If a file called "ErrRd" is present in the c:\Resource\-directory,
the mobile phone will display extended error information.
Instead of reporting a general error, it will display a more exact
reason and the error code, which would be distracting for the end-user,
but is very helpful for the developer.
Due to the new data caging concept, it is no longer possible to create
the file in the resource-directory manually, as this directory is
read-only and only the installation manager is allowed to write to this
location.
Therefore, this small .sis-file will create the file on your device
in the appropriate directory.
Additionally, this installation file creates an empty file in:
c:\temp\swierrors.txt
If this file is present, S60 3rd Edition, FP2+ devices will display
an additional error code during the installation. This makes it easier
to locate the exact problem when installation fails.
