I have a PDA with TTNavigator 7.916 and a laptop with TTHome 2.7.2 (all patched)
all is fine when I use WCE 2GB 8.35-2420 ... I mean: I can obtain MapShare updates
I installed Europe 2GB 8.35-2450 ... no more MapShare update!
I do believe I did all right:
MapShare options activated both in TTHome AND TTNavigator
I did search in this forum and some others .... couldn't find the answer to this question:
why no MapShare updates are proposed with Europe 2GB 8.35-2450?

Something wrong with your configuration. Or maybe you take a wrong action - everything goes smooth on my Kaiser - see http://www.ipmart-forum.com/showpost.php?p=2231057&postcount=1

FIRST all went wrong:
starting with a wrong diagnostic (made by myself ... can’t blame anybody else ... shame!)
I searched and posted in the wrong threads
and of course couldn’t find a solution
you’re right yDdraigGoch it’s definitely NOT a problem of map compatibility
BUT
a TTNavigator problem ... now solved
I give some explanations for others in case it may help:
- in order to save some memory on my device, I moved my TomTom Navigator.exe and data.chk from main memory to SD card (something like 13 crucial Mo saved)
process: copying the whole Navigator folder from main memory to SD card / erasing TomTom Navigator.exe and data.chk from Navigator folder remaining on main memory / leaving a Navigator folder in main memory with small files
- as long as I didn’t change my map I got the MapShare updates
even upgrading from 8.30 to 8.35 ... as long as it was always WCE 2GB
- but when I went from WCE 2GB 8.35 to Europe 2GB 8.35
no more MapShare updates ...
SECOND thank you yDdraigGoch for putting me on the right way
I searched in the right thread
and found THE solution
- so I moved again my TomTom Navigator.exe and data.chk (reverse process)
and successfully got my MapShare updates
- then moved once more my TomTom Navigator.exe and data.chk in order to save some memory on my device
and kept my MapShare updates!

Too many efforts, my friend! In real - you must not move/copy ttnavigator & Co from SD-card to main mem. In fact it's enough to copy only one file - currentmap.dat from SD-card (or whichever folder with your ttnavigator) to MAINMEMORY/Program Files/Navigator folder - voila! TTHome will now see your real latest map location - and will update it with mapshare. And if you have more than one map.... well! It's similar solution (I'd say - multisolution :exactly: )

maybe I should take time to know and understand which file makes what in Navigator and map folders ... shame on me!
