I am thinking of buying one of them but i don't know which one to get. I am used to the playstation paddles. I know Xbox has Halo which is a plus for that. But I also want to use it as a computer in my bedroom. So which ever one is better at online. Just give me your reasons why you like one of them.

currently own 2 xbox360s, and im getting my 1st ps3 this week, the general response to your question(from what ive seen) has been, 360 is best for playing online,
due to communication aspect ?
ps3 is supposedly better in the media area.
i think it really comes down to what exclusive games you would want,
say like ps3 has gran turismo, uncharted and whatever,
and 360 has forza, halo and whatever.
you may want to consider what your friends play on too.(if they own 1)

not sure what you mean by this, i dont think either can browse the web ?
but 360 supports msn, and some other social sites soon, i think facebook is one.

as i dont have my ps3 yet, i cant comment on it personally.
as for the 360 i have found them an excellent gaming machine

in ps3 slim you cannot install linux yellow dog etc... you must buy the older version if you want linux.

If you are an addict to Winning Eleven, you should go for PS3, it also can be a Blu-ray player, which cost a few hundred dollars, ps3 has got a right track on this fabulous function. i would go for the ps3 for these reasons: It has built in wifi so you wouldn't need to connect it directly to an Ethernet cable if you have a wireless router. The PSN (playstation Network) is free to all playstation owners, and is great for online play. also the psn has the playstation store which is great for downloading free demos, videos, trailers, wallpapers and themes and psn games which only cost you little. Go and search more on the internet, many websites should have discounts in xmas time.
