Hi all,

I currently have a HP iPAQ rx5965 with Windows Mobile installed. It also comes with TOMTOM 6.1 with an Australian map. I would like to have US Western Region map and so I went ahead and downloaded US_Western_Region_825.2158. I tried saving it into the iPAQ File Store\iPAQ GPS\US_Western_Region_825.2158 folder and TomTom is not able to detect that map when doing a Switch Map.

My questions are:

1) Does anyone know where I should copy the files to and also what steps am I missing if any?
2) How do I get the latest version of TomTom into the PDA? I did a firmware update on the HP site but I am still on version 6.1.

Thanks in advance!!

You need TT7 navigator for that map - Click Here (http://www.ipmart-forum.com/showthread.php?t=301775)

TTNav6 has little to do with your firmware.
If you mean you upgraded to WiMo6.1.. gr8.

I tried running the QVGA cab file and it installed it into Program Files. I ended up having both versions of Tomtom (old and new). The old one was still in iPAQ File Store\iPAQ GPS. I then copied the TomTom Navigator.exe and data.chk file from the new version, overwriting the old version.

Now, when I start Tomtom up from iPAQ File Store\iPAQ GPS, it says "No maps found!". My Australia map comes with the PDA, so why can't it find it?

I have tried copying the Australia folder (contains all the map files) into

1) \iPAQ File Store\iPAQ GPS\Navigator
2) \iPAQ File Store\iPAQ GPS (original location)
3) iPAQ File Store

but it still gives me the same error. What did I do wrongly?

Thanks.

I have managed to get it to work by installing TomTom 7 separately. So I ended up with a v6 and v7 in my PDA. The v6 which comes with the PDA seems different to a normal tomtom as it is installed in iPAQ File Store\iPAQ GPS rather than Program Files.

Thanks.
