It's easy to menage an attachment.
You must enter some text in the box message before you can upload anything.
After that, by clicking in "add an attachment", right bellow the message box, you'll see:
"Filename" and a white box followed by "find".
By clicking on "find", your windows explorer will open and you must select the file you want. After that, just click on "add attachment", right bellow the "find" button and wait a few seconds while it's uploading, depending the file's size.
After that, and if you want to finish the message, just click on "submit" and it will be done.

i have spoken to admin about this error so we must wait for it to be fixed...

gd to see it the problem being worked on....and i had thought tt the problem of not being able to upload attachments lie in my files...hahaz :o

the attachemts can be seen now so i guess its already solved. this sometimes happen due to the server so get used to it.

its problem with attaching files mate ! Try to attach a file and you will see the problem ;-)

so you mean its not possible to attach a new file? but the old ones can still be seen. this never happened before.
anyway i have a suspicion of whats the problem here.

I have to say I'm displeased with the pic attachment restriction now. I can't post the nice previews of my themes in my thread.

restriction on pics...?? ... wht kinda restriction m8?

if you check the ttachement panel ashpreet you will see that there is a limit size for the pics.
i actually find this usefull. big pics only make th pages harder to see and longer to load.

Well, now I can't add previews for my themes. 145 kb's for a pic is far too restrictful. We themers like to make a preview panel for our themes with our watermarks on them. This pic size restriction makes this impossible. 10MB for zip and rar, but 145kb for everything else?

yes the file size its a defenate problem but i´m not shure if that can be changed.
its a small sacrifice for the sake of the forum running well and fast.

okay, so can we add pics with [img] tags now? Because small previews will do our themes no justice and make it easier for others to steal our themes and repost them with no watermark page. I know, it happens to me all the time. I'm trying here but I'm really discouraged from posting my themes again.

yes you can try to post the images on a host and post the link in [img] format. its the only solution i think is left.

hmm... yes... allowed size is only 19.5kb.. :(

okay, I can embed pics into my posts so I can work with that no problem. But I've searched and searched and can find no way to edit my topic name, only the header. I'd like to be able to edit my thread name for when I update my themes. Ideas?

you guys are right i just tried to change the title on wraiths topic and it only changed the title of the first post. the actual topic title is not changed.
i don´t know if this is a forum bug or if we are missing something here. anyway if yudo knows the anwser plz share it here.

yudo topic title changed ok so he must know ! :-) so many options to work with/around may take a while to fully adjust. Also the file size limit is totally adjustable but of course only by admin. Alternative i have used is rename gif to jpg as works ok on still image etc... And outside image host for large theme preview would help ease forum load :-)

lol guys i found out how to change the title and you wont belive just how ridiculous it is
all you need to do is double click on the square that the title is inserted too. not in the exact name but right next to it. you will be able to edit the title.
but i think only mods can do it because i can only do this on section which i am mod of.

just about to post similar bro ! Just edited my icon theme title :-) (at last !) :-) :-) :-) and agree is as far as can tell moderator privilage only . I did different way to edit than above but was only able as moderator...

ok just spoke to admin of this issue and can now confirm that only section moderators may edit topic titles... Please contact such moderators for this action henceforth. Also be aware with each member able to change no. Of pages per thread no titles can no w contain reference to specific pages as irrelevant now... *=DMOE=*

new forums brings new options but also new problems. this title editing thing is a bit annoying but what the heck. its what we are here for :)

i gt a question to ask .. if lets sae we only can upload the maximum 5mb , then how we suppose to upload gd quality music videos ???? coz ask wad i haf converted , good music videos need at minmum 5mb.

Mate that limit is old now u can upload 10mb only...cheers

minimum is 10mb not 5. check the attachement panel to find out the limits.
to post big files you must split the rar files into parts. there is a topic in how to section that explains how to do it.

Its getting harder and harder to enter the forum maybe server problem anyway's thenew feature's sound gr8 hope my power's are soon restored i am like a person with no leg's right now :smile:

pm to the administrator to add you to the sections ajai_dev. with all the work he has now he is bound to forget to add you to your sections.
don´t wait for him to remember for his own.

someforums have better servers, i feel u must upgrade else more data will bring down the server??

server upgrade/change will be happening soon boleks so you must be patient . Give admin the time to necessitate the change.

the administrator opened a new anouncement saying that server maintenance will start this afternoon. so it should be anytime now until we have a good server.

new server online now ! Just a bit more patience required whilst it is fine tuned to run at optimal performance :-) dmoe

in comparison to most of the other forums i have been a member of, this one is by far! the most stable, all credit to the admins and mods .. who are actualy active ! :D

sorry this isnt related to attachments... but none of the other posts on here are either and i wanted to express my happyness at finding an active, usefull and friendly forum :D

sometimes i have problems uploading attachments where the dns just goes poof...saying server time out and such......and is 5 the limit for attachments in single post?

yes 5 attachments is the limit per each post. check the extra info on the attachement panel to see all the limit size attachemnts files.
