Anyone got Flashing 3650 and 7650 problem can post here...

Dear sir,

I download 7650 flash file from many webside for version 4.34 and other version to flash phone to chinese . but when i extract the file from winzip it doesn't have PPM file (have only MCU ). So please tell me how can i flash 7650 with chinese !

The MCU and PPM is SAME
Example For V4.46 Chinese language..Nhl21044.6c 4 is Mcu & Ppm

i have problem for flashing 7650 with grifin v1.985u.
i want to upgrade 7650. i'm connect data cable from grifin box to 7650.
i'm click "detect phone" and after a moment show massage "(Can't set phone mode. No communication with phone. Power phone manually and press 'OK')"
I have try changes data cable but it same (show the same massage).
And now, the phone is dead.
But i test for flashing 7210,6610,8310 it's ok (no problem).
Please help me.

Try to Use Latest 1986 to flash

How did the 7650 become dead?

If you were just using Griffin to detect 'phone, then this cannot have made it dead !!

If the 'phone is dead you must press cancel after receiving the msg:

"Can't set phone mode. No communication with phone. Power phone manually and press 'OK' "

Griffin should then report: using Autopower
and begin to flash mcu.

If there is still a problem, then try to flash by selecting Manual Mode.

Try this and then please report any specific errors.

Any1 have N3650 like mine? When I power the phone, it just start with NOKIA and then fade out.... it always happen all the time and the phone become dead. all lights are on but hte screen is going fade out.

I try to flash it using griffin gold with v 1.98 (*** Tribute), v1.983, v1.985u and v1.986 with flash file 2.14 <---- it always sez FAIL after flashing process. No power (error like that, I forgot the detail) and the result is like just before flash.

Any idea how to fix the 3650 problem like that, because i have 3pcs 3650 like that (my friends)..... is it hardware or software problems, because it just happen suddenly.

I have not used Griffin to flash a 3650.
This may be a hardware problem if it happened suddenly.

Please answer these questions:
Have you flashed successfully a 3650 before using Griffin?

When do you get the message "no power" at the start or middle of flashing? Are there any other error messages?

Please tell us what 'phone firmware version are you trying to flash?
You may need to use 2.13 FIA and not 2.14.


The general rules are:
When you flash, you do not have the battery connected and Griffin gives a message "using autopower"

Make sure Griffin.ini is in the directory:
C:\Program Files\Nokia\Phoenix

Also, you can try Griffin v1.97U
or you can try to select "Manual Mode" in Griffin v1.98.
I don't know if these versions work for newer 3650 with AMD chipset.

Answer is no, but I flashed many Nokia 3650 to v2.50 using my griffin gold box and all is OK. :wink:

The last one (3650 fade out) is flashed using "manual mode" with various version of griffin softwares and with FIA v2.14.

There's no error until: flashing DONE .... after flash processing......... <error comes> with no power, the option is OK or CANCEL.... I try to power on the phone but it fade out again after the blue words NOKIA.

I tried v2.14 and 2.50 also v3.15 <--- newest version and everything is not help.

when I install FIA v2.13 after I uninstall v2.14 -- griffin sez error[9x000] I forgot the error number, but after I reinstall the v2.14 griffin works again with my 3650 but still FAIL ater flash processing <---- ITS NOT HAPPEN WITH MY OTHER 3650. even the dead 3650.

<Make sure Griffin.ini is in the directory:
C:\Program Files\Nokia\Phoenix >
yes it is and the products is in directory:
C:\Program Files\Nokia\Phoenix\products\Nhl-8

Also, you can try Griffin v1.97U <---- same result after flash and error and the problems still appear (Fade out screen after power on)

i had a problem to flashing my 2 units of 3650 using Griffin 1.986 Ver 2.40 Flash update package 2.1300(NOT WORK WITH 2.14.001) .. after flashing to Chinese MCU PPM *.*C4 is show CONTACT RETAILER.. Try to reflashing to English Version the problem still persist.. anyone have a solution with this problem..

The problem is still same.. i never had this problem before and sucessfully flashed a lots of 3650 without having this type of problem..

By the way i uninstall the Flash Update Package 2.14.001 to 2.13001 because of an error when flashing..

Before flashing to Chinese the phone is fine but after flashing Contact Retailer Appeared!! Flashing to English Vice Versa the problem is still Remains..

Problem Solved!!

After Flashing and "Contact Retailer Appear" Go to Special Function than "Set Factory Setting" then reFlashing...

Yes.... ok If u can Flash ur 3650/7650, uninstall Flash Update Package 2.13/2.14.001 or Vice Versa it will worked 100%.. and reinstalled the Approtiate Flash Update Package If you encountered problem with ERROR FFFF9100 or something similiar... due to the new AMD chipset ... for 3650/7650

I have a 7650 that upon power-on, the nokia logo stays and the phone hangs...I flashed it with griffin to V4.46 using Griffin 1.986. The same problem occurs. I tried different versions of griffin and the same problem. I tried V4.34 and V4.39 and still the same problem.

Then I tried downgrading to V3.16 and the problem was solved. Then I was able to upgrade to V4.46 without any problem. Hope this solution will help you guys next time you encounter the same problem.

Phone is new. I use neelix2 to change language only. then phone contact retailer, it fixed by neelix2. but it sometimes error "Contact Retailer". then i use neelix2 again to fix it, but it get system error, can't any key. press menu button get "system error", press other key same result, still system error. Use *#7370# result mailinit error. then i flash it again by using Neelix2. and finally.. Phone no have signal..
Original phone firmware V2.50
I tried Griffin 1.986 many times..but no success. still no Signal.
Please Help my problem.. (sorry for my english)
