Which Windows version is the best to use when upgrading phone firmware and others?? Win98/ME???


If i want to upgrade 3310 to 3315 and i have the
rolis flasher 4.78
rolis nokia tool 1.9

which windows version is the best choice...

win98 is better

yes in win98 work 100% all softwares

but must disable the antivirus 1

no the best is win98 although win95 is good but maybe got some problem with the flasher software so win98 is the best

win98se the best but if you're on XP, try to use userport!

i agree win98 is best for most software but xp is ok for newer stuff like griffin, eeprom tools etc

IMHO the best windows to use..

Yeah I had win 98 and it worked pefect as did basically any other software package, but now I switched to upgrade 98 to Win ME and now the backlash of that is Mobi MB won't work properly with my Win ME and my setup so I have to use OPM II, but yeah Win 98 basically 100%.

98, thow that will change oneday and everything will work on XP as new versions are released.

Windows ME is if not THE worst OS which came out of Microsoft’s shop then at least is in the very top, and I wouldn't recommend it for anything (not even playing video games or typing in Notepad). It's easy to crash (you don't even have to try it will eventually go down by itself), the chances are you'll get BSOD's more often then on other Win OS's. Win98(SE) is more compatible with older software and XP is one of the most stable Win OS's. Basically I’d go with anything but ME (because of its [in]stability), and 95 (because, in software terms, it’s an antique).

thats right my friend, the best win in flash in dct3 or dct4 or the other flasher is 98,98se,me. but some time we can use xp for box flasher like griffin, UFS, Prodigy and other bravo microsoft
