For all who have flashing problems:

Try to slow down your computer!

I had the same, tried 15x, always error.
Then I found "CPU Killer" program (makes PC slower!) and with it I flashed clip successfully. I've set speed to 60% of original, with a Celeron1200 CPU.

i try now wit celeron 375 and aobtain the same error post here the error.

Do you have fresh batteries in the clip?

I didn't got any error message, flashing just hung and nothing happened.
I had to shut Flasher down manually and then restart.


I recommend for you: try with CPU Killer. [Only registered and activated users can see links] and post result

Did you activate your clip????

A new unactivated clip has to be activated first and then updated with new updater.

You must flash twice to get your clip up to date.

All u guys having problems flashing need to make sure that the *.upd file is for your box.

For example if you SN is lets say 123, then you must get the correct upd file which covers that serial number. Maybe it will look something like this 100_300.upd

Yes, Error 14 means, that the update file is not for that serial number you have.
You have to dl another upd file containing your serial nr.

This upd file provided by i-forum and the one available at griffinbox.com forum are exactly the same and it covers only one area of serial numbers.

Ask your reseller...

To help for those who can't reach reseller, here you have the update file for many serial numbers

now my clip is updated my reselerr send update and not problem.
i tested wit c45 and is perfect.
