Hi All
I have never been in a forum before so here goes.
I need some info and alot of help if anyone can help.
I have just got a Griffin box and to change my IMEI. (The reason is the x has had the phone disabled on me)
I don't know anything about phones but am willing to give it a try.
After mailed griffin about this great little box and Getting it I cannot find a Tutorial on how to change the IMEI so I e-mailed griffin to find out that I must change a chip on the 6100.
Now what chip is this and were can I get one from?
What else is involved in changing this apart from pulling my hair out. (whats left of it)
Any help would be great.

The chip in question is a UEM chip and very difficult to replace as you will require a hot air rework station and a very steady hand with good eyes

and big luck because it's glued with special chemical stuff , it's very hard to replace it without destroying soldering contacts on pcb
