I posted this in another section and was informed it was the wrong place. I hope this is the right place. If not, I apologize and would appreciate someone directing me to the right place. My problem is that I'm new to cooking firmware and flashing but I think I'm doing a decent job so far. I am trying to flash my N97 RM-507 with my own cooked firmware using JAF but each time I try, there is always one problem or another. I have tried in Dead mode with Manual checked using the ini. I've tried Normal and even tried selecting the files manually. I've tried flashing on Win 7, Win XP Pro, and even a freshly formatted and installed Win Home and always run into the same problem. All drivers are installed and installed correctly too. The phone is either not found, or I get it found but JAF just disappears and leaves pkey emu open, or JAF gives me a C++ runtime error or some other error. I've used JAF version 1.98.62 with pkey v5 and version 1.98.64 with pke v2. It doesn't matter what compatibility mode or version I use, the results are the same. Is there anyone that might be able to help? I've searched everywhere and can't find a solution and I've racked my head trying every possibility I can think of. Can someone please help?

Were you able to find your phone connected in PC Suite mode, were you able to see it in PC suite or Ovi suite or in your My Computer place.. if so, then you should move next..

When you select ini option, did you get your phone listed there and what happened once you select your model from there.. ?

Yes my phone is detected with Ovi suite and I have the updated ini that lists my phone model/firmware. It finds the files. everything up til I hit Flash goes just fine.....after that on the other hand is another story. That's when the problems occur.
