Yes, there is a application which installed in the symbian phone that can lock the phone by sms.

Ok, assuming you have a phone installed this application. When this phone has drop or someone has taken your phone. You can send sms with special instruction to your phone.
Then your dropped or lost phone will be lock.

Gonna try on my phone :P .. now i just need one to steal it :D

any crack version for Phone Secure? I think they have launched version1.31 which is for 6600. but cannot find the crack version.

u have to extract the file bro! use winRAR...

And if the phone is locked, how can it give the thieve's details like network etc...?

to unlock u just need to input the password. I have try this sw and send sms to my phone to test it, and it works! to find your phone if it's missing u have to contact your network provider to find the phone's location by detect your phone's network. if the thief change the sim card, the phone will automatically send a message to HP number that u set before. it will inform the new simcard number and the network!

i've installed phone secure, i find it annoying coz when you turn your phone off, it will alarm the siren sound, and you have to input the lock code for it to stop. hope that's not the case with theft alert...

i mean when you turn it off and turn it back on again, the alarm will trigger.

yup..that's the side effect :) I only activate the program when I'm going out!

phone secure it's a good app. but 1.31 does't compatible with 6600 4.09. now i fond in the website phonesecure 1.4. still waiting for the crack.

if u ask how to use it. just install to your mmc, then open help.

So We have to had another sim card and another phone right? or could be yr friends sim card and phone? is the other sim card can use different network operator? I mean could we set the number to any other number?

.You said the lock can be activated by sending SMS. What are the commands required for SMS to lock, unlock the phone? please help

Lock..(ure password) and send the sms to remote lock ure phone. and the others:
Unlock..(ure password)

The actual commands are
::LOCK password
::UNLOCK password
::IMEI password

obviously you replace password with the correct password or it won't work.
