the locked memory card can't be view in the computer. is there any computer software to free or format this locked MMC, or to repair the died MMC, like Fdisk?.
cause the locked MMC if inserted to computer with WIN98, make the computer hang.

If you have Siemens SL45i just format your MMC card using SL45i 100% work's :)

u also can format it w 9210/9210i. good luck.

The batter idea to format with usb card reader

Try to unlock it using your mobile, if you know the password. Then use a card reader with your computer.

You can try reformatting your MMC thru your phone. if your using 3650 just boot in "safe mode" meaning after pressing the on buuton of your 3650, press and hold the pencil button until the phone reaches the standby mode. After which you may try reformatting your phone's MMC. This usually works unless your MMC is really corrupted.

Is there anyway to hardware reset to the MMC, just an idea. Cause I tried almost every single way but still no luck. My friend said just throw it. What a waste. Maybe we can connect the pins in the MMC to make it reset hardware-ly??

try using CANON IXUS, i tried that once to format the card, it's superb

With the ngage this is how you view your mmc password!

With a file explorer like selQ, Fexplorer, etc... navigate 2 c:\system

There should be a file called "mmcstore" This is where your password is stored in plain text.

If using fexplorer just open it with "Options>File>editor(viewer)" and view your password.

You could also send the file with bluetooth and rename it "mmcstore.txt" so you can read it with your computer.

You could also send it to a unlocked mmc if available.

The solution posted by mywindow works for my 3660 too. But I had to restore the phone backup first (luckily I did a backup before changing the MMC). Before restoring the backup, the file c:\system\mmcstore CANNOT be found at all. After removing the password (using the information obtained from mmcstore), I was able to do a format using cardreader (with the help of mmcmedic program). Voila, now both the card reader and h/p have no problem using the card!
