wow, it looks like you posted the same request on a huge number of sites as most of the findings were your help requests...

anyway, in amongst them was this one, found on the hp forums...
We have an HP LJ P3005x that had this 49.FF04 Service error. After reading elsewhere that this may be a JetDirect error (i.e. network error), I shut off the machine and unplugged both the power and network cable. I waited a few minutes with the power off just to make sure all the capacitors had time to discharge (this probably isn't necessary, but I figure it can't hurt). I then plugged the printer back in and rebooted it with the network cable still disconnected. The printer then came up to the "Ready" status. I then plugged the network cable back in and it printed all the queued documents and is working just fine now.
I don't know if this will work for everybody (or anybody) else, but it did the trick in my case. Just thought I'd share my solution.
