I have Windows7 in my laptop and till yesterday, when I go to the folder where I keep my videos and select thumbnail view, I see a preview of the videos. But now I don't know why, in the thumbnail view, even though it tries to show the preview, the images are blurred. I mean, I am not able to differentiate the videos by simply looking at the thumbnails. Can anyone help with this. What can be done to resolve this issue ?

did you change or installed anything ?
the icon is not windows , so you use a different player
try to make media-player the default player , to see if it helps

try in your folder in the menu ;
Tools
Folder options
View
and see if "Always show icons never thumbnails" is un-checked

@basflt : I have already checked the setting in folder option. Everything is in place. In fact, as you can see in the image, the default player is mediaplayer classic. Everything was working perfectly fine. All of a sudden, it went like this. I haven't installed anything new.

well, i think either there is a problem these videos or ur system's icon cache is corrupted...

frnd, try tune up utilities to repair ur system's icon cache and see if that works........
u can find tune up utilities latest version in the pc application section.....

run a system restore to the date of the latest update. See if it solve the problem.

Some "security update" disables certain fancy settings.

Hope it helps.
