Hi there, have u try the Full factory reset with the Griffin software and format the user area? Who u bought the Griffin from? Whos ur reseller? Ask him, he should know how to help you. Or do u have friends using Griffin too. Ask them. Cause as I know Griffin can solve ur problems. Many of my friends is using Griffin. I'm using UFS2.

i dun think griffin really can do that coz my fren working in handphone wholeseller also try to format using griffin but cant do it oso... not all of them can i mean... some still stucking in the middle... try to format it using special adapter.. :wink:

lots of them cant format with the 3 button... will stop on the middle... just try to purchase the specia swith adapter n try it again..

i have 2 units of 6600 facing the same problem. all those solution i have try. but nothing can solve. even in the Nokia Service Center. that is not the software problem i think.

mine is hardware problem n i send to nokia service center they fix it for me, now that phone is working fine

this solution not working for my phone, i've try it b4 n it will stop when reach the "r" word "formating" i've waiting for few hour but still at the "r" word. n i've try other phone having same problem n it fix.

Those all solution won't work cause this error causes when we try to upgrade firmware.Even you use special adapter, press*+3+Call Button, Format User Area, the problem still exist.
To solve the problem, you must do exactly as instructed, else you will get 4X Blink or minor problem such as "APP. MAIN CLOSED "or stuck at startup Logo or White screen error at startup. This solution had been try out many times and it works
1) Use "6600_fullerase.fia" as your ppm file to flash your phone. -->This will erase all MCU and PPM file.
2) Use "CCSErasePPM.fia" as your ppm file to flash your phone.-->This will erase the network signal setting, product code and energy code.
3) Flash the latest 6600 firmware nhl10xxxx.xC1
4) Upload 6600.pm file to get back your signal.
5) Change product code according to the firmware which it support.
6) Flash the latest 6600 firmware which contain country variant nhl10xxxx.xyy. (yy=number represent country code for ppm)
7) Use sim unlock rebuild to unlock your sim lock.

I think your phone should be working perfectly.
If you encounter the problem where you unable to view menu of 6600.
Please remove your MMC Card cause it become uncompatible with the latest firmware. Format the card with Card Reader then it can be use again.

Please post your result here after try it out.

to all,

now you can repair contact retailer just by using PMM ERASE file...use grifin when flashing this file co'z ive tried using twister and prodigy and it didn't helped repairing the phone...

after flashing this file flash the phone again using MCU+PPM file...you'll also need 6600.pm to tune the network of the phone...

i'll upload the file here so most of you guys can use this as your "LAST RESORT" to repair your phone...

use fullerase fia and download latest flash (NHL104091) from [Only registered and activated users can see links] and upload to your 6600.

i tried that solution & it works 100%..thanks for the solution...more power...keep up the good work :lol:

Improvement of "clean flash"
As what i posted above, there is summaries way to flash problem 6600,3660 and 3650 phone.

New problem for flashing 3650/3660:
I found that new stock or latest batch of 3650 cannot power on/ cannot switch into local mode after flashing firmware.The phone sometimes will promtp " power FAILED " or error code "FFXXXX".Exspecial after/when flashing chinese combo firmware.
Don't worry about this problem because new CPU or chipset has been installed in this new batch. Maybe griffin will have new way or new support for it.
But for those in urgent, you can try to modified your cable again, i have try to modified the resistor with reostat resistor, 3.3K may not be suitable for new batch chipset.
Adjust the reostat resistor until you get what you want. Don't worry, you will not spoil your phone.

ttleng method 100% is right.....
but very important b4 flash, don't forget to back up your important PM.....

i tried to upgrade 6600 and it became 4time nokia and i tried it both on griffin and UFS2 but it wont format user area even nokia care couldnt repair it he said it has some other prob but another guy repaired it he said was some ram prob is it true

if it's freeze on formatting word.. i think the hardware is also damaged.. send it to service centre..

Upload the ppm file for the firmware version..
what version you flash with?

don't write the file copied from other phone directly as it needs to by edited..the solution is to write a 6600 PM file which come with the griffin installer..it is there
C:\Program Files\Nokia\Phoenix\pm

You should get griffin 2.085 and i want to know about griffin box adaptor voltage and ampere that you use for it.

You must be using UFS to flash your phone, have you try on griffin on this matter? Cause UFS sometime cannot function or communicate with others new chip of the UPP or flash IC.

you press *3andcall full formating.

try to format user area using griffin it work's 100% or if not try to full erase then flash with mcu ppm flash file then load pm files to your phone so that the signal will be back..works fine with me..

the cause is an incompateble application using to format the n6600

try to change the ram and it will work great

my frends just try the manual formating system..

erase all the files in the phonix folder exept the product and griffin.exe and gamue.dll

if this methode didnt work try istalling the software data package again in your computer

You need to reflashing your phone again.

But does the Save user datas is working with 6600 ?

I got griffin, twister, fls4s !

Could I save the backup of my phone before flashing as *.txt file with griffin ?

I am affraid that you can't save the backup data from the phone because after you have format the phone, the eeprom data user will be lost.

It just formatted for a few seconds , It was just started to format.
So I think some datas are always inside.

I just would to try to save to a file and then rewrite it even by tiping each contact one by one.

I will return to work today so I'll try to repair it and then post the results.

I wish I will have good news :oops:

1.You formating at flash take out sim and mmc card pless *3# on togerter.
2.is cannot flash use format user area and pless init sim lock.
