Hi guys! Can anyone help me with this prob? At first my 6600 only has a prob that cannot read contacts. I install filexplorer and check on the contacts.cdb in the c:\system\data and its about 183K. So most likely its the file corrupted. I tried to backup the phone using 6600 pcsuite and it gave me errors cannot read. So I tried to flash it with griffin. Many times I flash but unsuccessful even with C3 and C4. So I erase using the fia files and flash again. I hve to flash it with afew attempts then its successful but without bluetooth enable. I load the good pm files to the phone and the phone able to startup but eventually it fade and restarts. Where did I go wrong? I format using the green, *, 3 and it works fine. But I tried to set factory default with griffin FAILED. Format it griffin failed. Where did I go wrong? If I dont insert simcard and switched on, its ok and willl not fade and restart but if with simcard the probs appear. Anyone can help me with this?

I have already solved the problem and many 6600 too. 6600 is not much a pain in the ass anymore but for 3650 is really a headache!

I have one 6600 coming power off after 2 to 3 minutes. I tried format user area, then flash with latest version 4.09. Still the same problem

I assumed you are using griffin. Get yourself the 6600fullerase.fia file and select it as PPM in your griffin and flash. Until griffin gave you the message "After flash processing..." meaning the erase is successful else keep on flashing til you come to this stage. Then flash again with bluetooth enabled. After flashed, most likely you will get "Phone startup failed". Format the phone with the 3 buttons (Green, *, 3) and your phone will be back to normal and you should able to see the nokia logo. Then go to "Serial" in griffin and choose "Important PMM Values" in the "Feature" drop down box. Load the file "6600.pm" files and write it to the phone and your phone should have network. This way works for me so you can try it see if it work for you. If you get error message during flashing, just keep trying till it worked. I ever tried flashing a 6600 phone for 12 times. :)

Yes am using Griffin box. I use 6600_ fullrase .fia as ppm, now the problem is After flashing done,

I try to flash by selecting 4.09 mcu and 4.09.03 ppm showing error

yes after you flash with 6600_fullerase.fia your phone is empty. Of course cant switch on but also mean that the erasing was successful. Just keep flashing. 1st few times i get that BDBDADAD too. No worries. Just keep trying till flashing completed. :)

First flash with 6600_fullerase.fia select in the PPM section. If it reach till "After flash processing..." then it means its successful. Disregard the whatso ever msg appear after that. Then do a full flash (not 6600_fullerase.fia). Keep trying till it complete flashing. "Phone startup failed" message will appear but no worries. Format your phone with the 3 button(Green, *, 3). You should be able to see nokia logo but you wont have any network. Load the 6600.pm file to the phone (Serial -> Feature -> Importand PMM Values -> Load file (6600.pm) -> Check data section if theres any 900Mhz if so then write to phone). Thats it. This method solved my hang at nokia logo and auto off and restart problem. :)

1 more thing I missed out. After writing the 6600.pm file to the phone make sure you unlock your phone.

I just repaired another 6600 and it worked fine now. After the 8th attempts of flashing then the flashing was successful. *Grin*

Till now I tried 18 times. Still BDBDADAD. I can flash other 6600 normally. No problem. I will try again and will be back soon.

18th!??? LOL! Tried scratch the contact point on the phone MCB where the cable come to contact with. Normally I get this error only like 3 -5 times but yours 18 times. Thats alot. I use a little trick when I connect my cable to the phone. When the cable is attached to the phone I use rubber band to tie around the phone and cable so inorder to have a "tight" connecteion. LOL! You can try that if you wan. LOL! Then maybe you can like adjust a little bit with the cable when its attached to the phone. see if it worked for you. :)

exactly pm file problem... u can try full erase n write a good pm again
